GeMP (Homer’s RIN) v3.3 Released
greg | September 18, 2006
A new version of GeMP (Homer’s RIN) is out! GeMP emulates the old school Gameboy & Gameboy Color handhelds from Nintendo! v3.3 incorporates many changes, most of which I’m not even sure about… Nevertheless, here’s a few:
- New eLoader icon
- New default menu background
- A more complete file browser
- Press “L” to switch between flash1, flash0, disc0, & ms0 directories
- The ability to cycle to new commands in the browser using “R”
- A letter input system
- Press select to cycle 4 times
- Background support has changed — JPG/PNG added.
- Photo viewer: When viewing a supported image, press “O” to escape, and Triangle to open commands at the bottom left of the screen.
- Picture framing: During a game open menu (L+R), and go down to “GB Frame: On/Off”
- Improved cheat support
Check out GeMP.doc for a little history lesson, and other details regarding this release.
I just finished giving it a test run; works very well — 1942 all the way!

Download: GeMP v3.3 (roms not included. ;))
Thanks for the heads up skafa.

this is for 2.0+
not 1.5, right

Hey guys could u help out where to get the roms dont fell like downloading 20 gbs from the torrents
U aren’t supposed to ask about that.
Anyway is this worth updating for from RIN?
You aren’t supposed to ask but he did, anyway, torrents are the best way to go, or Ares, but there is a good run that you’ll get a virus, sooo, I guess BitTorrent or nothing.
is this for tiff?
is it 2.8 compatible?
Cool, i spend my time playing gpsp now, but still cool. Once gameshark becomes more user friendly i’ll download it to hack away at pokemon.
sorry didnt know thanks tho
Is this GB/GBC emulator better than the original RIN version??? or is this just for PSP firmware 2.xx and up to uses, just because GB/GBC RIN emulator don’t work for 2.xx and up.
is this tiff!?!?!
i need to know!!
No this is not a LibTiff exploit homebrew, it is for 1.5 or 2.00 users…
@gravespawn
Read the article, obviously it’s not…

BUMSEN! JEDESMAL WENN ICH EIN NEUES PSP ERHALTE UND ICH DOWNLOADE EIN PROGRAMM VON HIER IHM ZIEGELSTEINE ES! Ich habe 10 PSP BEREITS DAMNIT DURCHGELAUFEN!
Dude seriously the commands in this version suck ass! Having to “scroll” through commands makes everything harder, including changing the background!
@AngryKraut
1. If you cannot speak german than don’t try it.
2. This is site is in english, so stick with english
(Even if you are as bad with english as you are
obviously with german.)
3. Don’t scream an entire post !
4. You talk about bricking a psp with an emulator?
Actually about bricking 10 psps with brew from
this page. You can’t be serious!! o.O
You are either a trolling idiot or an idiot who
doesn’t recharge a psp but instead declares it a
brick. Choose the fitting one and then go learn
some german!
LOL @ Insomnia
I dont see the need to update from the current rin im using
but yeah nice.
how do u add a cheat???
yeah this definately isn’t working on my 1.5. trust me, i’ve tried just about everything when i downloaded it… so what the hell? I’m goin back to the other version, people said this sux anyway.
I tried it. It loads under the Sony menu, but it doesnt work with IRShell Final… Which sucks since thats the only app Ive been using lately… Which reminds me, it needs a built in web browser. That would be really cool, but thats IRShell.
I recommend everyone stick to the original Rin. :)
JA JA!! ICH BIN GEMUSEHANDLER GEFIKT!! UM DIE ECKE!!!
What did I just say??
Love
Kenny
It will seriously be a big improvement if this can let me play multiplayer games, can’t seem to find a emu tt lets me play gameboy stuff with me friends.. but anyway.. thanks for the great work.. hope to see more improvements.
i got ir shell final and it works fine (exept cheats)
I found a bothering bugg when you load the saved gamefrom staes it has no sound but if you load your save off the rom it works fine
fyi when playing a game, going to the menu and then back into the game will kill the sound =(
nomerstein heimer!!!
What’s up with this post? GeMP (Homer’s RIN) v3.3 was released by Atomos back in April! Here’s proof:
http://pspupdates.qj.net/Gameboy-Emulator-Media-Player-v3-3-Now-Out/pg/49/aid/25846
The *fun* part of this: ps2nf*.com copied this newpost as well.
Yeah, I was really confused about that. I was happy to see this as GEMP recently randomly stopped working for me, but I definitely remembered the version I already had being 3.3 so this is seriously off.
hola. u can “remute” the sound by going into the menu then shut your psp to standby and switch it on again (the psp is able to go standby a few seconds before it’s definately off!)
now leave the menu… you should have your sound back!
