I think it is awesome of him to release the zx-81… a good way to “end” the scene. After all, there isn’t much more he can do b/c he uses some rather old methods of emulation n all.

It’s not impossible, just gonna be really shitty. Heck, it’ll work at 1/1000000000 of the speed and it’ll probally crash after the x fuses into the ball. “Your Mother” just wants to be “kick ass” by saying all this crap even though no one cares. Plus, zx-81 makes these cause he wants to see if you can take all of these old tech and have it playable on the psp. He’s done a good job. His goal is not to create “good” and “worth downloading” emulators so that all the people that have 1.5 psp can enjoy their psp by using products of past value and so they can jump up and down so that all the fucking morons like “your mother” can have no life and spend the rest of their lives playing games on a psp when you could just get it on ebay and play the real deal. I like emulators, and I think that zx-81 is great by emulating these old gaming consoles on a small portable system. It’s history. Back then it was thought imposible to have portable gaming systems. I don’t download these old emulators that zx-81 makes, but I apreciate his work for defying past thought of technology.

WOW. Thats going back some years! I can go even further with my first computer, the Spectrum 48k. The loading times were crap and the games even crapper! lol. But i will allways remember the first game i played on it, Manic Minor. WHAT A GAME……….

I remember loading up the tape drive and popping in some taxi game that had horrible graphics. but man, I would mess around with that thing for hours on end programming in numeric line code (basic language) just to make a dot bounce around on the screen… those were the days. wonder if someone is working on a trash-80 emulator. rofl that would be funny

Remeber a while ago when that Halo thing was shown on the PSP? yeah, I made that! It was an original Xbox emulator! I am gonna put out my emulator, and best of all, It will work on the 3.0 firmware, because I work for sony and know how to bypass all the firmware stages. I
could downgrade from 2.80 if I sat down and took the time…

if ZX81 is reading this, all i have to say is keep up the great work, you do a terrific job programing these vintage system emulators, i for one think its great to get a blast from the past on a new gen platform. so on behalf of all the old guys who own psps (like myself) thanks for bringing back the good old days.

well I used to have a ZX Spectum 48k and games took an age to load sometimes they never load! My best ZX spectrum game was Deathchase 3d. We should make a good homebrew update of that game will be ace!

bah. to all you graphics junkies: where are your imaginations? not every good game out there HAS to have great graphics. some of us grew up with a mind of our own and imagination. I remember growing up with some of the best games out there, and they had crap for graphics. pitfall, galaga, etc… just because something doesn’t have the best graphics doesn’t make it a bad game. also zx, if you still want a project, I hear an apple II emulator calling your name. ;)
