Just gave it a go but devhook does not pick up files. also, only gives you flash0, not flash1. all decrpyted ok but can’t emulate. can anyone help>?

I tried to put it with the same layout as the 271 but without changing any names. Only flash1 wasnt replaced. Hmm… but somehow i have this feeling devhook will soon emulate 2.80… Soon.. (:

Don’t know if Booster is held out. Remember Sony complained about a breech of copyright. There shouldn’t be anything with him exercising his mind and making a devhook that will work, but not distribute any 2.8 files with it, just a text file explaining how to theroeticly use files if you already have them….

Also given that you can download the devhook 0.46 sorce code, some one else should be able to make the mod.. ante up bitches, if i knew how i’d give it a go.

I think it is amazing that we got over the 2.01-2.50 bump. We were stuck there so long that I thought nobody over version 2 would have any type of homebrew… just now look at what we have. Damn near full access to all versions… now we just need full access for both motherboards. I’ll give it a month.

Guys… so much for the scrap. Do you know that there are still many out there buying the original games?? Sony is rich enough alrd.. Of course they want to achieve what Microsoft did with their Operating Systems and XBOX. But why would Sony want to scrap their PSP?? It’s not a suprise that the ratio of ppl using pirated ISOs is smaller compared to the ones buying the games. In fact, shops still buy the games and they lose some money due to lack of buyers which in return, less profits.

Seriously, why would you worry so much about the new games when you havent even finish and complete 10 games. There are like 190 games out there approximately. Stop whining about the games not being developed. They are still developing and they won’t stop unless the world ends. What i’m predicting now is Sony is coming up with a masterplan to create a new console to be released in a few years time to tackle this hacking problem.

But.. I wont change of course! (; In the hackers’ world, anything is possible. If not, they make it possible. PSP will not die.

this is cool i have the fw but at the moment it isnt of any use. dont worry for the moment noobs. u r not missin out. when it is of any use there will be another ultimate installer anyway which makes it just a click away.

What is happing now in the hb scene, is because of the serious exploit found in libtff.
The exploit gave the oportunity to get 2.80 decrypted/2.71 downgraded. All this work is based on previous projects and now it has just been tweaked to be used with tiff.
A new kernel bug needs to be found for 2.80+, but I guess everyone should wait for 3.00 now.
2.80 is a very stupid fw, giving almost nothing useful but some gay demos.

Just be patient and don’t upgrade.

i dont think sony will close down, if they do its are folt not the hackers. i have a 1.50 for home brew but i also buy the new games and use devhook to emulate the higher fw to allow me to play them. i think we all should still help sony and buy there games. if it was not for sony we would not have are psp’s in the first place.

i think your right i remeber reading about this when 2.71 was decrypted because 2.80 had the same security signature as the 2.71 fw

Great work, and even more hilarious that it allowed 2.81 to be decrypted on the exact day it was released.

Now all we need is an updated Devhook and we’ll be good to go for the next couple of months until they bring out 2.9/3.0 and games start requiring it.

over time all of the firmware will be cracked.. 2.9 , 3.0 4.0 5.0… i have yet to see software/hardware not being able to be cracked if the will is there.

the decprypted files are useless unless booster or someone like booster will incorporate them into devhook. unless you know how to program you dont need them. so stop asking.

also, @80 you will find all the answers you need in the tutorial section in the forums. it is your psp bible.
