omg lol yay first hope it works
looking good
make one for v2.80
I don’t get why he thinks people care about the main menu running at 40 fps. Who cares if it was running at 1,000 frames a second, what matters is the in-game FPS. Although I don’t really care for the emulator, the more obvious point is he is a gifted coder. Nice job, man.
NICE…………………..
Thanx for your hardwork on the emulator, but we have to be realistic and realise that it is extremley unlikely that it will ever run games at even half of full speed with sound, remember that daedalus was hardly the most popular and stable emulator on the PC,nevermid the PSP.
Prudy cool.
i don’t doubt that eventually, mario 64 will run at full speed.
Mario Kart - time trials were running at 24-27 FPS. If this were GP mode the game would be playable. Great speed improvements though.
“Super Mario 64″ is really getting there - it’s flawless, for example, for the first few minutes as you move around outside (and inside) the castle. The battlefield afterwards is still slow, but playable.
Here’s to R9, R10,……and “Goldeneye”…

this is a real revalation. the abillity to play n64 games on a psp. all those years ago when i got my n64 i wouldnt have thought i would be playing the games on a handheld so soon. this is a mindblowingly hard skill and yet strmnNrmn is doing. what a guy. keep up the hard work.
SOUND! theres no sound….
Hey has anyone tried Super Smash Bros. Yet! I’ve tried on the past release and was never able to get to the fighting parts. It froze after a selected a level and a character.
I just want to say congratulations on the results you are getting. Keep up the good work!
mario64 is playable now
Dam, in game is still pretty slow, and thats what matters.
What’s the point of this? Get a Nintendo DS and you can play the original Mario 64 with improved graphics and gameplay too.
the point og this DJ is that you can play N64 on the PSP!
The hackers maybe like to do the unbelieveable trying to do things like this.
I think this is a great steph for PSP users!
AND can NDS play mariokart and zelda? or lylat wars and any other n64 games? there hasn’t even been an release on a zelda game yet……Phantom time glass will be out soon I guess but that is not Ocarina of time!
Ocarina of time is one of the very best zelda game in my opinnion……((yea I know off topic))
anyway I’m gonna try this emu out!
when it gets to 20fps its not a big problem anymore
super smash bros still freezes before the fighting
Good release. I shall enjoy during my commute to school.
@Fake Ace
WTF, name stealer! lol
U R the best man!! i love you…i check this site every single day just to hear from you!!!! imma try the emu..nice done man…o and while u at it let see about the sound…jajja j.k take ur time….AWSOME !! if i was gay i would totally do you!! too bad i like banging chicks but w.e thanks
working
omg gabo you freak!
daedalus rocks! playing zelda oot on a handheld would be like a dream come true. keep up the good work!
Think its possable for someone to make a rom spasific emulator just geting that rom to run full speed
where can i go to get mario 64 and the zelda roms they are copyright protected now on the site i use i cant download them if any one knows it would be appreciated.
instal azureus an go to www,mininova.com
than typ n64 in search______________->
i wasnt too happy with r6 or r7 but damn, r8 is impressive, i love this emu, keep it up man
I have tryed this on my 2.1 psp and it isnt working it loads up and then has a crashed screen with a few colors on it.. anyhelp?
get roms at romhustler.net and use winrar to unzip the roms from the .7z files
If this is not proof that the PSP is better I dont know what is! I mean it can play GB games GBA games N64 games, PSP games jesus christ soon it will be able to play ds games!!
Nice Nice Nice, works fine but to bad there’s no sound.
@SomeBlackMan, That would be nice :P NDS,PlayStation,Playstation2,N64,Ness,Atari,GB,GBA and many more games on a psp :D
@ SomeBlackMan-
the psp can’t play ds games cuz most ds games require u to use the touch screen. it would b great if they made a ds emulator for the psp with full speed and added wifi connection. and when that came out, a hacker would replace the psp’s screen with the the ds touch screen and we could use the stylus with it & have a better light on our psp’s. Just think the “New Super Mario” game for the ds allows u to play a version of mario party wen u have both people have the same cartridge “same game” so if u had the rom it would b sweet if u could play a ds owner in mario party. but not only can u play a ds owner u could also play a person that has a psp. this is what i would want to imagine on the psp in the future around 2009 or 20010.
my apologies i 4got to say great work on this emulator.
keep up the good work, rome wasn’t built in 1 day :)
Can’t wait for sound. And for you tards who are asking for a 2.80 just eat your shit. You really expect to have the lastest firmware and coders that will do homebrew for you?
lmao ppl ppl PPL wat do you expect?? there is a LIMIT to wat we can do to the poor psp…(sony must be so pissed at us…they could of named it the “hackable handheld device, a thousand and one hacks!!!!..$599) lmao but really there is a limit to it…what do u want?? for the psp to give you a handjob too???? well i tried that hack….and it didnt work O_o
its not liquid resistant……..
I can’t wait to try this…thanks soo much for your effort…I am really gonna like this one
wow this is still really lame
great effort, keep up the good work! :)
JUST TO LET YOU KNOW>>>I TRYED THIS AND IT IS SOO MUCH MORE KICK ASS!!!
This is awesome, I can’t complain, but I still would like more games to play, but the speed is ok but not perfect
anyone try starcraft yet? i love that game!
omg teh psp will be able to do teh xbox 360 gamez1!111!1
What a bunch of retards.
@44 (Hempy) how in the hell is this emulator lame it runs at pratically full speed and all it needs now is sound in the future releases id like to see you make a better emulator if you dont like the emulator dont download it and dont comment on it this is a great emulator and the creator deserves a lot of respect for gettin it this far great job man keep up the good work
Hey…
It’s very nice work =). What would make this great would be if someone came up with a way to overclock a psps cpu.
HELP! I can’t save Mario 64 game progress with R8. I had been able to save with the same rom with R7.
I restarted the PSP 3 times and still cant save game progress. Any ideas?
Ungh people still doubting that it can get to full speed? They played playstation games on the PSP and those take more to keep running @ top speed, its just a matter of time before it gets fully operational.
zelda, mariokart, superman, mario @ banjokazoe run.with mario, mario kart runnin near perfect@starfox!by r10 or 12 we should see sound! great job!!
Well done man, hope in game fps increase as it more important den anything else.. neverthelesss great updates
Ive only played Mario 64 on it, but as i can tell its not far off from perfection, keep up the good work!
@Batman: Yes the PSP runs PS1 games at full speed, that doesn’t mean that the PSP can run N64 games at full speed. The PSP uses the same type of processor (MIPS) as the PS1 so emulation is far less difficult, when it comes to emulating the N64 it’s a case of simulating the operations that the N64 does in hardware using the PSP software.
It’s the same principal that means my PC can play Prey with full graphics and an excellent frame rate but struggles with Super Smash Bros!
Mario 64 runs grate but after giting 3 stars saving shouting off my psp when I come back I only have 2 stars
great work maybe get starcaft64 working? Keep up the work!
when i try to lead the roms…there is no roms in the rom selection!?!? how come?
I actually doubted this would ever by useable.. but blow me down this is f***ing gobsmacking! excellent work! keep it up!
Man you are great i cant wait till this runs super mario 64 at full speeds it will be unbelievable. Thanks for another great release!
when a downloader 2.8 to 1.5?
thx!
This thing is insane keep it up
just asking BatMan where in the heck are PS1 game been emulated on PSP unless ur talking of UMD… in which is retarted to mention it, cause all here for hacked stuff… is there PS1 hacked games around for PSP lead me to it :P … Anyways Great Job, Keep it Up!!!
hey man well i think that you have done great with this new emu.. im loving it…… but there is a problem i dont know if its just me or any one else but i got no sound on mario 64….. is there something else i have to do to get the sound or what…. oh also for all them people using the emu if you like starfox 64 well it runs some what slow but it works perfecrly with me…….. also mario party 2 ^^, i’ve been traying out the roms and i have been finding quite a few that actualy work…..
