The Game Gear was 8-bit - you'd think more though because of its 4096-colour palette (32 on screen). I have one here in my room still (with the t.v tuner). I remember my Father modified the aerial so that I could watch t.v. from the main aerial socket in the wall (pristine quality). The last time I used it properly was for World Cup 1998 (when I was in secondary school).

There are still a few games I would like to try that I could not afford to buy as a child ("Sensible Soccer", even though I had it on the Amiga, "Road Rash", because I loved the Mega Drive/Genesis version). It worries me slightly though - I'm not terribly fond of emulating fully either the Amiga or the Game Gear, mostly because I have strong memories of both, and playing the Game Gear on my PSP may be a little weird...it's a little sacrosanct. If somebody can get "Dreamweb" for the A1200 working on a PSP through PSPUAE at some point, I may change my mind on the Amiga front...

I'll let you know.
