cool…………
game gear freakin rocked except it was as big as a car… and with a tiny screen… and it took like 6 batterys.. and it was only like 3 hours battery life.. but it still was great lol
yo man dont be downing the gamegear. Just think, it was out the same time POS gameboy was out. gamegear=16bit, lighted colour screen while gameboy=black and white, small screen, which fades when battery gets low. Its like choosing a DS Over a PSP.
I meant a PSP over DS cause PSP Pwns.
Hey dumb question, but is SMS actually the 16 bit Sega Genesis console that competed with Super Nintendo? So many sega’s genesis, cd, saturn, gamegear, etc.
SWEET
Anyone know where I can get the source code from, the one linked is currupt…
Can’t wait to try it out! ;)
Genesis = Snes competitor
is it the megadrive?
and game gear = best times ever. shame i can’t remember any of the game names :(
I remember the game gear had a few nifty things to it. like the tv tuner…IT WAS COOL BACK THEN *runs off and cries*
The Game Gear was 8-bit - you’d think more though because of its 4096-colour palette (32 on screen). I have one here in my room still (with the t.v tuner). I remember my Father modified the aerial so that I could watch t.v. from the main aerial socket in the wall (pristine quality). The last time I used it properly was for World Cup 1998 (when I was in secondary school).
There are still a few games I would like to try that I could not afford to buy as a child (”Sensible Soccer”, even though I had it on the Amiga, “Road Rash”, because I loved the Mega Drive/Genesis version). It worries me slightly though - I’m not terribly fond of emulating fully either the Amiga or the Game Gear, mostly because I have strong memories of both, and playing the Game Gear on my PSP may be a little weird…it’s a little sacrosanct. If somebody can get “Dreamweb” for the A1200 working on a PSP through PSPUAE at some point, I may change my mind on the Amiga front…
I’ll let you know.
^Doody.
doody, do you know the name of the gay on the gamegear where you like… a little baby in the woods with a nappy or something? it was side scrolling..
^ game, not gay :$
^Stewart, it sounds like “Wonderboy”.
^Doody.
loks like a fun game to play
#3 u should kno that the first gameboy came out in 1989 and that the game gear came out in 1991. u should kno ur gaming history by now
