Deal or No Deal!
greg | August 23, 2006
I have to admit, personally I love this show; for some bizarre reason its got me hooked and always wanting more. And now I can have more, and you can too! Stemming from ADePSP – developer of Pimp my Garage – comes the #1 game show in America for the PSP, “Deal or No Deal.” Yeah, yeah… I know there has been versions released before, but none as slick as this!
This version has quality graphics and non stop atmospheric background music for almost every action or moment in the game… Both of which make it a really nice handheld gameshow experience…

Unaware of this game? Here’s a quick run through:
There are 26 suitcases that contain various amounts of money… You pick one and then open various others revealing what you could have won until the banker phones up and tries to tempt you out of what “might” be in your suitcase with a cash offer… You can choose to accept that or carry on opening cases until you are offered another deal… If you get to the last case then you can choose to keep yours or swap and get the cash in the remaining suitcase instead… The idea is to walk away with the most money you can (obviously)…
Installation and usage details can be found in the forum release thread below.

Noel or No Noel?
nice
i realy REALY REEEEAAALLLYY hate that show… but its good for those who do actualy like it. maby… kind of… potatoes and cream with katchup. t(õ_Õt)
It’s homebrew so sorry it doesn’t work on 2.71… It should work on with eLoader on the 2.6/2.5/2.0 firmwares however and obviously anything lower…
No fucking way! I love this program :D Apart from this is the american version…
Great “HACK”.
Don’t know if I could be bothered to try this on my (+[_]::)
Anyone tried it yet?
This is cool!!! nicely done
just tryed it and it rocks, this is the first homebrew game i have tryed and the graphics are awesome! gd game. i know have the tv remote bk and my mum playing deal or no deal!
i never knew america had it i thought only uk had it?
Hey #10, that made me laugh… Whoes winning in the highscores (you or your mum)…? :D
Yep, America has the show also, although it is of a slightly different format and, like “The Weakest Link”, is played for a higher amount of money (as is obvious from the game). Quite easy in the U.S. version to get a life-changing sum of money ($50,000+) in a deal from the banker, but tough to move beyond it. I tend to like the U.K. one better though – it seems tighter and more personal.
Anyway, this PSP version is, out of the three I’ve played, a decent second in terms of quality. Nice to have the sound effects, but what annoys me are the delays (which don’t seem in there for atmosphere, but more out of a coding problem).
Well worth a look,
^Doody.
You can skip the delays by pressing X ;)
OMG thats fucking awesome!
awesome!
Thanks AD!
^Doody
^Doody, which did you think was the best one by the way…? I checked out 2 flash versions and the UK PSP one to make this… Thought I took the best out of all of them and dispite being English made the US one for the $1,000,000 and so as not to annoy the guy who already made the UK LUA version…
I liked the U.K. one AD, although it’s great that a non-Lua one is out (I don’t particularly like Lua – it reminds me of old public domain games on the Amiga) – it makes a big difference to be able to access it straight away from the GUI. I understand your reasons perfectly though for making a U.S. version – this is a great release, and my preference is only because I’m more familiar with the format of the U.K. show.
Good work!
^Doody.
Frist time i played and i won $1,000,000,000
Gr8t game.
ummm…. are there any hotties in this game? cause thats the only good part of the show
What are “hotties”…? Are they like holidays or speedboats etc…? For the same money as the offer…? If so, that would be a real fun thing to add in the next version…
I only watched the UK version so maybe missed a funny idea there…
I first saw this game in Australia last summer. It took me about a week to figure out how it was played, after i figured it out, I was hooked. I like how in that version, they have regular people holding the cases on stage and they can try to guess their cases value for a little cash prise.
Here in America, they have models holding the cases on stage, and they don’t try to guess the cases value. They just stand around looking hot, which is why they’re called hotties.
I’ve never seen the UK version. How is it different?
22: They don’t have the people taking guesses at what’s in the cases on the US version? Yeesh… Your version must be boring as hell…
When the player is obviously going to end up with a laughable amount of money, seeing one of the other contestants win a Mega Guess of $5,000 or $10,000 makes it at least worthwhile.
Plus it’s funny to laugh at the loser who had a chance at $200,000, and not only did they end up with a paltry $250, but one of the guys who didn’t even get through to where he is left with more than he did.
Way to pour salt on the wound.. ;P
No Deal…. homebrew is still gay
This is done very well. For those who have a 2.71+ try downloading thje official online games at http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/game/dond.swf.
my mother played it and approved. therefore, this game pwns.
haha, awsome. i watched it once. never thought it would go on a psp.
good effort ;)
Any possibility of you doing an UK version ?
great game!!!
I’ve won 200,000 $ :-)
i wanna play again :-))
cheers
XazZ
Nice job! Definitely great!!!
This is actually fun is there monopoly for psp yet?
One of the more addictive PSP homebrew games I’ve played. I won $750,000 earlier! woohoo!!!
I thought it would be better if it were the English version with the correct number of guesses betwix banker offers.
Also, I heard that the programmer has voices on record for all the box owners varied with turn plus a presenter doing all the talkie links and he won’t add them as he reckons no-one will want to take all the memory space. I say release and be damned!…
your fucking game fucked up my psp u stupid fuck now my dev hook wont load up my games and umd dics u fuckin prick go fuck your self and your fuckinf program u fucking prick
i thaught only the netherlands had it LOL
lol australia has this show too and it does a decent job at being one of the best game shows in the arvo so cudos to the american version ^^
btw psp freak….it sucks to be u ^^
This is a VERY nicely made homebrew…I’mressive and clean interface and graphics! Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an official UMD version some time in the future that’s not much better than this one.
hi , i download games onto my psp but it always tells me they r corrupted files and cant be played, downgraded to 1.5 firmware, from 2.71 can anyone suggest a help, thanks nudge
NEED UK VERSION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
