CW Cheat v0.1.1 Released
greg | August 4, 2006
weltall has released a new version of the popular multipurpose Cheating Device for DevHook.
This is a prx which works under devhook and can cheat every devhook-compatible game under firmware emulation This works through raw-relative cheat codes like action replay, codebreaker, gameshark, xploder, etc. Other than this, it has support to other function which are usefull for cheat finder and normal users (like battery, cpu/bus clock, devhook version, ms free/total space information)
CW Cheat v0.1.1 changelog:
CORE PRX
- now you can exit the main menu with O
- in the main menu if you press X on return to game (or O) the prx will wait for you to release the x button. In this way you will avoid not wanted keypresses when exiting
- in the submenus it will wait you to release O button when exiting
- now when you press up when you are on the first entry it will go to the last entry. If you press down when you are on the last entry it will go to the first entry
- in the cheat selection submenu you can keep a button pressed and it will automatically repeat so you can scrool large code list in less time
- Now dump are endless they will be made in different files till you finish the free space on memory stick then it will start again with the first dump
- added 33 mhz for cpu and 16mhz for bus
- added an enable usb function. it will load in game the usb mass function so you can access your ms while playing to make cheat quicker and without a card reader.
NOTE1: it will be disabled while dump to be re-enabled after
NOTE2: sometimes when writing to ms from pc the psp doesn’t flush the cache so if you change the database it could still be not updated. if this happen a workaround is ejecting the memory stick and putting it in again.
NOTE3: you need to disable usbhostfs to make usb mass work - added “enable usb” options
- fixed some buffer overflow in the cheat.db parsing function
- now you can give to the game names up to 30 chars (before was 20)
- now you can give to the cheat names up to 30 chars (before was 20)
- now you can store up to 500 cheats for game (before was 400)
- other little things and optimizations

who cares cheating owns
Great. This updates including what I need. ^_^
This is like a gameshark/action replay on your PSP?
@Jmax: Yes, the best universal cheat software for PSP. Not many code in database right now (well, it just came out), but I’m sure it will expanded quickly, or you can just make your own code.
How would someone go by making there own cheats, do you just change the numbers and guess, and then see what happens?
@Dennis: First you have to find the memory address. After that you can change value on that address to any value you want.
hmm.. i installed this and my psp wont boot in 1.5 lol im gana wait n hear out wut happens
couldnt you load up this prx with custom firmware also?
Hm, why would anyone cheat in a game? What part of the game’s fun-factor gets amplified by ammunition raining from the sky, and being shot at 10000 times without dying? But, hey i am thankfull for any homebrew released at all. Even if i don’t see why people would use them.
this is out of the blue, but ive been thinking a way to get threw the teh secrity on gta for 2.7.. couldnt u use the Custom traks and put some sorta of over flow to downgrade 2.7 it seems pretty possible not two hard just convert the over flow in.to .mp3 i dont know why nobody has posted this so yeah this may work
@LyGht: Cheat really helps especially for RPG game where you have to spend hundred hours for leveling up. I remember back on FFX when you have to dodge lightning strike 200 times consecutively to get an item, it’s almost impossible without cheat. On most of cheat code you can set value to your convenience, but I agree applying extreme cheat will ruin the game.
there is no sound when i start a game in devhook iso or umd and the home button doesnt work does any1 know a solution
Hey, is it just me.. or is anyoe else lost on how to use this? Any kind of tutorials?
Its like freaking McDonals Im freaking love and i have 3 free days to mess around with this. …Lovely.. Your my boy Weltall.
CW Cheat 1.1 is much worse than CW Cheat 0.1. I had the 0.1 and updated to 1.1, big mistake. “Blade Dancer” worked perfect with CW Cheat 0.1 but with the new 1.1 it shows images of the cheat program during the game, has graphical glitches during the cheat menu, freezes during loading time and during the middle of the game before getting to the next save point. I had to go back and re-download CW Cheat 0.1 in order to be able to continue playing my “Blade Dancer” game.
I agree with above now im waiting for v1.2 heres my list of problems
1. when i exit with o the cwcheat menu blinks on and off every time i press a button, 2.then when i get it to come back up there are three arrows 3.the usb thing dont work/no one knows how to disable it. 4.the home button dont work, 5.and my burn out game does not work any more it just load and do nothing then turns my psp off
i not freak loving it
i did that thing with the lightnighs on ff 10 no cheat but never got the chocobo race at time 0;00
IMPORTANT: DON’T USE INSTALL USE RESTORE
the meaning of install is only first installation not update.
those with blinking screens used install and so they have the prx loaded 2 times (or more if they did more than one time for version)
I’ve tried Un-installing CW Cheat, i used “Unintstall” Option on the program and it still comes up, I hope i don’t have to format my memory stick, that would really suck. If I can get it off of there, I’ll try the method that “weltall” said use and see if it that works. I’m still having problems with Blade Dancer freezing in the game, never had a problem with that game or any game before installing CW Cheat 1.1
does this work with firmware 2.8????????????
Cant find any cheat in SD Gundam G_Generation Zero Portable?? Any further details tutorial on HOW TO FIND A CHEAT??
To jd05nj:
Not at all!!
I’m using it to cheat on monster hunter freedom. this is so sweet now i have a collection of rare swords. hahahaha.
for anyone that is asking, this will not work on 1.5+ since the installer works for 1.5
ive been trying to use it to cheat gangs of london…iand i get a responce after telling to search values, but it doesnt give me a game name game id or value id. so how do i put into the game database w/o any of this information?
