Daxter Engine to be Licenced Out!

Sounds like there is going to be a new game engine on the block, seems that Daxter will be released for developers everywhere around the world! But, no word on price just yet!
Ready at Dawn president and co-founder Didier Malenfant confirmed the report and said:
The engine could be used to do a wide variety of third- and first-person games, and it would actually produce quite awesome racing games too.
In other words, this means people can buy the game engine and develop games themselves! – Edited by Phil.

Something like the unreal people did with there unreal engine i’m guessing
will this in n e way effect 1.5 firmwares and such?
No.. Read the text… It’s just the Daxter people who realeses their 3D engine.. It does’nt affect us “regular” people.. But, it gives the independent developers to develop even better game.. Wich meens better homebrew games after a while…
it isn’t like hackers are going to get their greedy little hands on the engine… so I really don’t think that this is psp-hacks news material per se, more like pspupdates material. Nonetheless, hopefully this brings more quality titles to the psp!!
