Comments (9)0okm has made it apparent that there is indeed hope for TA-082 motherboard owners! As simply stated on his blog:
PSP Multi Firmware module will support TA-082 on NEXT Ver.
so if your TA-082 PSP is FW2.50 or FW2.60
don’t update!!!
What does this mean? Well, by the looks of it, TA-082 owners who are currently left unable to downgrade could very well be on their way to 1.50 freedom! Nothing is available to the public as of yet - rest assure, it’s being worked on and we may see something sooner than later. In the meantime - as 0okm said - don’t upgrade your PSP! Good lookin’ out WiLLiAM.
You can read 0okm’s blog entry here.

• [With the RSS channel], it corresponded to the download of the animated picture contents and the picture contents.
• [With the location free prayer], the equipment register by way of the wireless LAN access point became possible.Music
• The extension reached the point where the AAC file “of .3gp” can be played back.• It corresponded to the contents which are retained in “MUSIC” of the “memory stick duo”, “PICTURE” and “the VIDEO” folder. (I don’t really know what this means.)
•Following ones were added to the game trial version which can be downloaded in the “memory stick duo”.

NOTE: 2.80 does not have homebrew capabilities, So if you are in love with homebrew DO NOT upgrade to 2.80!
If you would like to upgrade, you can pick up a copy of the 2.80 update from:
PSP Hacks:

You can update directly from your PSP using the network update. This requires you having a wireless network.
Enjoy! and I recommend not updating if you like homebrew!
Comments (88)Undiluted Platinum (U.P.) PSP Modchip owners will be pleased to know an update of the Epsilon BIOS has been released today. This update includes a fix for a nasty bug which prevented the deletion of saved game data from the XMB. v1.1 also improves UMD emulation compatibility with several games.
Additional notes and installation details can be found in the readme.txt.

Comments (16)Update: ZX-81 has also released a new version of Portable VNC - v1.2.2 addresses the same DHCP bug as PSP-FTPD, and the Home button has been remapped on LTrigger+Start.
VNC stands for Virtual Networked Computing. It simply means you can use your portable to control things
that run on your PC.
You can fetch both PSPVNC and PSP-FTPD below.
ZX-81, author of a tremendous amount of PSP emulator ports, has released a new version of PSP-FTPD - the standalone FTP daemon for your PSP. Originally developed by PSPKrazy and Raf, PSP-FTPD permits you to send & receive files/directories to and from your PSP over your network, wirelessly! This version fixes a bug when using DHCP on FW 1.50, and with that said, this binary only functions on FW 1.50!

It wouldn’t surprise me if someone integrated this with custom firmware… that’d be cool! ;)

Good luck!
Its been awhile since we’ve heard from the PSP Rhythm Team, nonetheless here is v6.0!
Lots of new features and enhancements:
And for newcomers to the PSP homebrew scene, here’s a little excerpt:
Inspired by classic drum machines such as the Linndrum and Roland TR-series, PSP Rhythm has been created to use a similar simple, yet effective sequencer.
PSP Rhythm uses a parameter feature that enable you to change the pitch, volume, balance, start, end times, cutoff and resonance per step to create moving, changing melodies and effects. This control over your sounds will give you much more creative freedom.
The on board Bass Line synthesizer in PSP Rhythm is similar to the classic Roland TB-303. TB-303 style features such as Accent and Slide are available. The real time control of the Cutoff and Resonance give you that authentic “Acid” sound that made the TB-303 Bass Line Synthesizer so famous.
Included effects are: Distortion, Slicer, Delay, Time Stretch, High/Low Pass Filter and Monophonic Sample Mode.
So, with all that said, fetch PSP Rhythm v6.0 below and drop a beat y’all!

Comments (20)For all those 2.60 owners who are scared to downgrade and/or own the dreaded TA-082 motherboard - don’t stress! Homebrew developer SodR has released Flash-Me, a simple flashmod tool for 2.60 PSP’s allowing you to change various aspects of the firmware:
How to use:
Simply place the Flash-Me folder in PSP/GAME/ like any other homebrew and then put your custom files in the custom folder inside PSP/GAME/Flash-Me/.
- If you want custom BG and just have one image, name it to BG.bmp. If you got more then one, name them 01.bmp - 12.bmp.
- For font copy all the 16 ltn0.pgf - ltn15.pgf to the custom folder.
- For gameboot; simply copy a .pmf file (i don’t recommend files over 1 mb) to the custom folder and rename them to gameboot.pmf
- For bootsound simply copy your opening_plugin.rco to the custom folderThen boot up eLoader and select the thing you want to flash and hit X to install your custom files or hit O restore to the default XMB. After you have pushed either X or O the screen will go black, but don’t worry, this is normal. This is when the actual flashing is being done. Wait some time and the PSP will automatically reboot the same way as the downgrader, meaning that your psp will display the “Disc could not be read” error. Just Restart your PSP once again and it should work fine.
As with any flash memory modification (flashmod) tool, use at your own risk!

Comments (16)While still on the topic of OS X, Dago^WATT and RnSK from the maxconsole forums have released MacCISO! Now you too can convert your ISO images to CISO and/or DAX format, and vice versa - any which way you want!
That about sums it up! Have fun!

Comments (69)Are you a Mac OS X user finding difficulties installing Device Hook? Kevin has emailed me a handy little .app that is responsible for automating the installation process with a few simple mouse clicks. The package includes everything required to get up and running: DevHook v0.44 (no mods - BOOSTER’s straight release) and FW 2.71. Follow these quick steps and you’re on your way to firmware emulation heaven!
Wait - there’s more! PSPkit for OS X also includes two other user-friendly tools: easily backup/restore your PSP’s memory stick, and automatically rename your homebrew in PSP/GAME to hide ‘corrupted data’ icons.
Thanks to Kevin this should definitely help many Mac OS X users out. Enjoy!
