its funny, i do little bit of c++ scripting for data work for mailing purposes and I come across some pretty hard stuff, but not as hard as emulation and to be honest great props to zx. Most people these days don’t even understand how operating sytem works in different enviornement like the spaces between these characters you are now reading in dos vs windows enviornment.. so shut up and enjoy the emu.

My theory, is that he was just going looking over some of his various source codes. Then had an Action Man moment (remember the Jetix Fox Kids 3D animated show?) with all the math, algebric, formulas, E=MC2, etc stuff flying around him, which lead him to finding an improvement, thus releasing PSPVBA v1.2.3.

Christ, I don’t know what’s worse….2-3 updates a day, or ZX “giving up” and then CONTINUING with updates!!! It’s like Tupac releasing 10 albums after getting kiled.

Why Release something that hasn’t got to much of improvement. I’ve been trying to run this homebrew but it still slow… why not try fixing the whole thing first and release a greater version than just updating small things. I for one haven’t seen much improvement. It’s a great job (no complains about it, gameboy advance is a great system, and is and would be great to run it at full potential) but enough with the updates.. too many of them. If it takes to long to fix them, take as long as you need. But quit giving so many updates that are not much… Hope nobody gets mad at me for saying all this.

Luiso_Mikey…it is not for a nub to understand why these updates are given.. some use these updates to evalute the progress since alot of these emus source code are given to others to test or restructure/program it. Since you do not understand why these updates are created. These updates are not meant nubs who only care for the end product… there are many ways to write the same code, it is matter of testing which one will give the best result under the given limitation of psp. So try all updates!!!!

1. The reason they release this early version shit is for the simple fact that ZX is only 1 (count em, one) man. he seems to be only working with like 3 friggin roms. so for all he knows every other rom in the world might be working perfect sept those 3. thats why they rely on us, you have thousands of roms out there and thousands of people trying diff ones. then you have those people report issues and bugs, then the programer adresses those issues. if he waited to release it when it was done, then we would have a half ass emulator. cuzz im sure zx doesnt own all the GBA games to try and he probably doesnt care to illegaly download them all just so YOU have a GBA on your PSP.

2. To all of you looking for roms to try with this or any emulator, try a program called BearShare (google it) specify your file type “apps” and then enter GBA or an exact game name. booyah, rom city. but only do this is you own the actual game and just dont know how to make backups *cough* *cough*

But why do people go you guys dont have the right to flame devs when they put there work here for people to do exactly that. I think all of you people bitching at people complaining need to chill out. Im pretty sure Zx posts a emulator that is pointless to use hes expecting people to complain. Why use the people to test the homebrew? Why not get a group to test it before releasing it?

Like I said before I understand you need feedback if you’re making an emulator, but why give small updates to the world. Isn’t there people around you or friends or someone to try it before releasing it to the public. That’s all I’m trying to say. I’m not saying that he shouldn’t, all i’m saying is why he can’t group a few people to give him feedback instead of having probably 10 or maybe 50 saying the same thing. Cuz to me it’s anoying when somebody says something and then another person says the same thing, then few days later somebody else say the same damn thing.

It’s great and I admire all those programmers out there making homebrews or app to run in the PSP. But why have the same feedback 50 times instead of having it 1 or 2 times…

why does it matter? it’s up to the author to decide whether he wants to release a new version because of a typo. that’s why there are things called changelogs so ppl can read those and see if they want to download the newer version.

also, if he only releases these updates privately, ppl will start b!tchin about how he doesn’t care and doesn’t wanna release things. lose lose situation…

been awhile since i downloaded a version of this emu, but it has vastly improved since the version i had on my psp. great job zx-81 if u play dragonball advanced adventure it is really fast!!! i guess the speed depends on the games in some cases. keep up the good work.
