to the guy above (ghades) > DUH ! How can someone with a TA-082 use devhook?? Currently you cannot downgrade a TA-082 psp and as Devhook will only work on 1.5……. I think you’re missing the point.

I just read the story on qj.net and this dude made his own modchip so it would work on a TA-082 board… so it would probably be a long time before they were available publicly unless there were how-tos on making your own modchip lol

and ghades, until now the TA-082 wouldn’t allow the use of the UP chip to function so you couldn’t install it, and it had 2.6 on it by default so you couldn’t downgrade or run homebrew like devhook, but if this becomes available to everyone that can all change, I just hope it’s cheap

Well i already traded my TA-082 for a 2.01 at the pawn shop. but this is still very good news.

this is off topic but i just want to get the word out!!

while emulating 2.71 on a genuine jp 1.50 i was able to access p-tv

1.) must have a true genuine jp psp
take out the battery and if it has SJxxxxxxxxx as a serial number then its japanese. if it says SUxxxxxxxxx then its US i assume europe would be SExxxxxxxxx but i dont have a eurpoean one so unsure on that

2.)must have devhook v .45
load devhook and set it to emulate firmware 2.71

3.) from the XMB i was able to see p-tv as an icon under the network(globe) icon, it was at the bottom

4.) i was able to access the p-tv option, connect via my wifi connection, and flip through the menus, however i was unable to download the videos because it requires user name and password

5.) the font is japanese for the most part but there is some english

6.) as far as i can tell you must download the videos hence you must supply user name and password i dont know if it possible to stream them or not

7.) i made a crappy video of it with a crappy camera its a little shaky(understatement) but i only have two hads and its hard to hold the camera in focus while manipulating the psp,

Hrmm… My apologies, but I’m going to remain skeptical until it’s officially confirmed. I remember the Team WAB incident, and remember that there was oh so many people “developing” downgraders, and none of them worked. In the end it was someone else entirely who figured out the solution.

I’m not saying it won’t happen, I’m just saying, I need to see proof before I’ll believe anything.

Damn I just trade my 2.6 for a 1.5! Oh well, good news nonetheless.

cadaber – you have to make a password and username from a site called so-net (have to do it from your PC) and then you can access it, i know because i can, but i dont have the japanese E-cash so i cant download most of the videos, only a few rare ones and movie trailers

If people create a downgrader, would ppl with a TA-082 with 2.71 have a higher chance of getting homebrew on it?

I’m slightly confused, the general opinion is that the TA-082 will not run 1.5fw. Does Ookm (all hail to the king!), have a solution that may run 1.5FW from an external Flash on a TA-082 board?

If so, why does it require certain revisions of internal FW? Does his mod involve interrupting the boot process of certain internal FW and running the external one after a certain point in the BP?

I was in a shop today and asked if they had any psp’s available! Thank god they had afew.. ive already got a black psp to my name but was wanting a ceramic one to.. Anyways to the point, i asked how much he was selling the ceramic one for and he goes 150 pounds so i thought thats a bargain, so i asked to see inside the UMD slot but saw the 1C1003 labelled *Sighs* but it was a JAP psp FW 2.6? does it still make a difference wether you can Downgrade it cos its JAP? Thought it only applied for the UK versions. But anyways i panicked and bought another black psp *PRE-OWNED* for 180, im really gutted! i mean i can still exchange it if you guys can confirm to me i can Downgrade the JAP version 2.6 with the 1C1003 initialled on it?? LOL very much doubt it though! *Coughs*

STILL waiting to see some update OOKM in july 27 it was a breakthrough and today its september 6 and still i have not got any info on the T082 motherboard based psps. I didnt even download locoroco game demo as it required to upgrade to 2.71 so any ray of light guys!!!!

ELOADER v0.9.8 PORTER is here guys . And i am now playing the legend of zelda master quest on a N64 EMULATOR and that also [bold]on a TA 082 so called unhackable motherboard pc with a v2.6 [/bold] So even though i doubt that it was written by a frustated TA082 owner but the above comment from sony seo can see my middle finger.

And i have heard soon u will be able to play ISOs it is coming out soon. Till than enjoy some emulator like deadus n64 , gba emus are not working psp radio is working rest u check out .

you think your so smart sony. actually you are smart. but not the smartest. see im a computure nerd and know for a fact that 2.8 and above psps wont have hombrew capability. but you dont know that with the ic1003 motherboard its only a matter of time before hombrew games can be played on psp v 2.71 and below. what im saying is a way to make a psp v 2.5 play homebrew. and get msn messanger. i’m an owner of a psp ic1003 and with a version 2.5. it will be able to downgrade really soon and when it happins it’ll spread faster then you know it. but be thankful you would sell a whole lot more psps. because i know people who wont buy a psp untill there sure they can downgrade. so in prospective you are losing a little bit of money and i think alot of people nation wide will buy something if it can play more then 1 consal.
