Flash-Me v0.01 for 2.60!
greg | July 26, 2006
For all those 2.60 owners who are scared to downgrade and/or own the dreaded TA-082 motherboard - don’t stress! Homebrew developer SodR has released Flash-Me, a simple flashmod tool for 2.60 PSP’s allowing you to change various aspects of the firmware:
- Can flash Wallpaper (you can now finally have a black wallpaper with wavy lines)
- Can flash font
- Can flash gameboot
- Can flash boot sound
- It has a “restore to default” option
How to use:
Simply place the Flash-Me folder in PSP/GAME/ like any other homebrew and then put your custom files in the custom folder inside PSP/GAME/Flash-Me/.
- If you want custom BG and just have one image, name it to BG.bmp. If you got more then one, name them 01.bmp - 12.bmp.
- For font copy all the 16 ltn0.pgf - ltn15.pgf to the custom folder.
- For gameboot; simply copy a .pmf file (i don’t recommend files over 1 mb) to the custom folder and rename them to gameboot.pmf
- For bootsound simply copy your opening_plugin.rco to the custom folderThen boot up eLoader and select the thing you want to flash and hit X to install your custom files or hit O restore to the default XMB. After you have pushed either X or O the screen will go black, but don’t worry, this is normal. This is when the actual flashing is being done. Wait some time and the PSP will automatically reboot the same way as the downgrader, meaning that your psp will display the “Disc could not be read” error. Just Restart your PSP once again and it should work fine.
As with any flash memory modification (flashmod) tool, use at your own risk!

me too!!
wow, 2 comments, 2 bricks….. the odds aint lookin too good for this one
has anybody gotten this to work properly if so what did you do?
whats the point in this if ur scared to downgrade why would u want to take the same risk but not get to downgrade but just put some crapy font and stuff on it.
1.5 rules
this seems a bit lame. I cant see why anyone would bother. dont know why i’m bothering to post either?
uhh thats bullshit
I highly doubt both of you bricked ur psps
One point five-zero; four life yo.
I love my 1.5…..
fuck Sony!
2 bricks in a row..liars. i love my 1.5 that i downgraded from 2.6 D: still cool
tried it… didn’t brick my psp, just didn’t work at all!
dam, I shouldn’t have used this program, it said it would work on my new PSP, when I press the button to turn it on, the light turns green, but the screen does not turn on. Is it bricked, my momma is going to kill me!
MMM. tasty. 1.5 lol. I had no way of ever updating even tho I wanted to, but now I’m glad I didn’t. Who isn’t glad now that there’s devhook? I would totally downgrade instead of trying to flash my 2.6… I never even saw the point in writing to your flash if you have 1.5… why not just use IRShell and put a custom BG on that? I don’t know… I’m rambling…
Oh my gosh I just read that this is v0.01 of the app? Wow if you honestly expected this to work you must’ve really been desparate. A big “You got what you deserved” is in order for those who actually did brick their PSPs on this one lol. What’s this site’s track record of hosting and posting about real working apps? And lol I’m not even going to talk about the track record of flamers on this site, stupid idiots who can’t stick to a topic. Lmfao
This was designed for 2.6 users that can’t downgrade because of their motherboard. And yes, this program is pointless and sucks.
dayum shame…
bricked my psp, unbricked with modchip, bricked again…. bottom line = bricked..
