Cool, this is awsome! Now i can compress ciso/dax on my mac and not have to use my lame XP wintel box. For those of u still stuck in the past: Get with the program guys, Windows sucks, its a fact! If u want realiable, secure, state of the art computing, try out OSX. It kicks XP ass without a dout in every subject. And yes, I have used windows for years as well and OSX so i can talk. Unlike all u mac bashers who have never even tried OSX. You’ll be suprised. Anyways, awsome release!! THX!

I have a mac and a pc.. i love both.. but what ha said is right.. there are no viruses for mac because, why make a virus thats goin to effect 5% of computer users when you can make a windows virus and effect 95% of computer users.. if more people used mac there would be more viruses..

I used both windows and OSX (currently using OSX) and i can;t say i miss windows at all. OSX is so much more stable, in a years time i had have zero crashes. In the same time on my PC i had to reinstall the thing at least twice, with a hundred crashes! And by the way, if macs suck so much, why is that i almost everything important that is developed is done on a MAC ?

Thanks for this app. By the way, why does the release of a mac app in this community result in 12 year olds commenting on how macs suck? If you don’t have a mac, don’t click on mac oriented apps and make stupid comments. Thanks again.

OKAY! Heres the deal! Get a Intel Mac. Get bootcamp. Install windows. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! Crashes and Viruses galore! And hey, when one os dies out, use the other! Brilliant! And there are recorded histories of viruses for mac, just that nobody cares to release em. Heck, Myst made a big booboo on a mac. There was a major bug for Myst 2 on mac. When you uninstalled myst 2 it would reformat the hardrive. It’s not like mac is invincible against viruses, they just need to be made for mac. Windows viruses don’t work on mac because that would be trying to put gasoline in a diesel engine, just won’t work. Now all of you people quit wineing. Mac and PC are in the same boat when it comes to crashes and freezing and other things. Just get over it.

eXistenZ,
1. I feel the gui is better than windows (I could do without widgets though). Why do pc people feel that mac’s gui is too simple? It’s easy to use, isn’t that the point? 2. Apple has wonderful customer service, most pc companies don’t. 3. I have my mac packed with heavy apps and has never crashed, unlike my last pc. 4. Design, they just happen to be pretty on top of all the other stuff.

My 1.6Ghz Thinkbook PC actually renders single process much faster than my 1.5Ghz Powerbook. However, OSX is way better in handling multi tasks.

I am gad I have both. I use XP for emulators and music tracking, and OSX for post production, video and presentation.

By the way, thanks for this app!!!

By the way, anuseful fact, I used a previous version of this soft and CISO compression works fine for me, in this version when I press DAX–ISO tab (the last) the window is blank. Someone else ???

Mac’s are better built than pc’s that is a fact, more reliable and more powerfull, its just windows os was in the right place at the right time…the more people that use macs the more viruses there will be.

But saying all that p.c’s are getting more powerfull all the time and more stable with each o.s so who knows what the futere will bring to both systems.

Much appreciated. It’s great to have these utlities available on OS X.

Any reason to not have to fire up my PC and subject myself to Windoze is always appreciated!!!

To those morons who posted that Macs have less viruses due to a smaller userbase - get your facts straight before going off half-cocked!

There are millions of OSX users out there and there has never been a single virus in the six or so years that OSX has been released.

OSX is secure by design, if you dont understand this do research, otherwise dont talk out of your arses.

The first Vista Beta was released to 10,000 testers and a virus appeared within days. How’s that for Security through Obscurity.

David Pogue: New York Times: “security through obscurity” - “That, as it turns out, is a myth, no matter who repeats it… Mac OS X and Linux [are] much more secure than Windows XP. For example:”

- “Windows comes with five of its ports open; Mac OS X comes with all of them shut and locked… These ports are precisely what permitted viruses like Blaster to infiltrate millions of PCs. Microsoft says that it won’t have an opportunity to close these ports until the next version of Windows, which is a couple of years away.”

- “When a program tries to install itself in Mac OS X… a dialog box interrupts your work and asks you permission for that installation — in fact, requires your account password. Windows XP goes ahead and installs it, potentially without your awareness.”

- “Administrator accounts in Windows (and therefore viruses that exploit it) have access to all areas of the operating system. In Mac OS X, even an administrator can’t touch the files that drive the operating system itself. A Mac OS X virus (if there were such a thing) could theoretically wipe out all of your files, but wouldn’t be able to access anyone else’s stuff — and couldn’t touch the operating system itself.”

- “No Macintosh e-mail program automatically runs scripts that come attached to incoming messages, as Microsoft Outlook does.”

Pogue writes, “…the conclusion is clear: Linux and Mac OS X aren’t just more secure because fewer people use them. They’re also much harder to crack right out of the box.”

By the end of 2005, there were 114,000 known viruses for PCs. In March 2006 alone, there were 850 new threats detected against Windows. Zero for Mac.

There are only 2 problems with the pc 1. they look out dated and boring. The build quality on a Mac is much better and they look fantastic!. 2. The PC uses Microsofts software OS. Mac uses OSX and its buit upon unix. Infact OSX is more like the LINUX GUI but its taken to the extreme for good reasons. MAC OSX IS BEST!!

And of course Garage Band sucks. It’s an entry-level music production program for beginners. If you want something DECENT, you gotta use Pro Tools or Cubase.

Why are there even comments enabled on posts? EVERY SINGLE ONE turns into a flame fest. And what people are saying about Mac sucking and PC sucking, are totally not backed up by any bit of fact or statistic, just personal experiences. If your pc crashes or you get viruses, maybe you shouldn’t be downloading so much of teh pr0n…? Yes, perhaps you’re spending a bit too much time on filetopia. And the only thing I’ve really heard about Macs being better is that they don’t get viruses or crash. Wooptie doo. So you can be carefree with your Mac. You can get it so your PC doesn’t crash, you just have to be careful, ya friggin derps.

And if you’re going to flame me for saying anything, just realize that 1. It’s pretty much a waste of your time, because I don’t care what a 4-foot-nothin punk whose parents buy him whatever he wants has to say about what I have to say,
2.Shutting down the stupid person may get you some virtual respect, a little bit of cool points on the internet, but the kids at school are still going to beat you up whether or not you can shut them down in a conversation, so spend more of your time lifting weights than flaming. And always remember, nobody likes someone that can’t type or use anything in a grammatically correct format. It’s “you’re,” not, “your,” if you’re trying to tell someone they are a moron.

Have a swell day, I don’t care about any of you.

Anytime Mac software is released for PSP there is a flame war going on in the comments. I use a Mac and am very grateful for this software. If you don’t want to use a Mac, don’t. But I would definitely try it (and I mean one that was made in the last year) before spouting out how terrible they are. If you’ve used an old mac, try a new one. You’d have to be stupid to make a statement on Windows if all you’ve tried is Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 and the same is true for old mac software.
