You could email Greg Atomsk to see if he can, this site hasn't been updated since a long time. Anyways, great lenghts Dark Alex! From Dax Loader to custom firmware, man, you are the bomb!

p.s. You know what would be cool? Using a converter from B to A and connecting the psp to a ddr mat for use with PSP Revolution. That would be awsome. Furthermore, custom firmware can lead to the use of the PSP Eyetoy and the GPS. These products will require firmware updates, but if theres a custom firmware unlocking the posibilities than that would rock.

p.p.s. Anybody know what happend the N64 emulator? I still long for the day that mario 64 is on my psp at full speed and sound. ZX-81? Do you mind working on one other emulator?

ok ok most of you all need to understand one thing...this new homebrew that Dark Alex is making is a HUGE and I mean HUGE step towards completely unlocking everything that the PSP is capable of if we can customize our own firmware than that means we can possibly load any type of program we want onto it, we won't just have ported programs that are lesser versions, we can possibly rip any type of working programs for computers and other hardwares and use them on the PSP also we won't have any type of hold backs on things like FW requirements because we can customize our own FW to play any version UMD and ISOS we wan't as well as use any homebrew we want to this means that we will have COMPLETE and TOTAL control over a device that Sony so foolishly made so easily crackable I've said it before and I will gladly say it again, Sony had NO idea what kind of ruckus they were going to cause when they got the idea of making this thing, but thankful for us they made it so darn powerful, and who knows possibly we could eventually make the PSP into something better than just a Videogame/Media player it's almost endless after we can make our own FW for it.

P.S. to Dark Alex- If you get this thing working I have to give you standing ovation but also a warning...stay low because Sony will deffinitaly get pissed and if it comes down to it everyone buy some extra PSP's if you've got the money cuz think they might have to completely change the whole PSP and Operating systems and possibly make the PSP into JUST a video game and media player so keep an eye out everyone

P.P.S- lol i wish i could get this posted on the front page of PSP-Hacks as an update or something its really good lol

I don't see how a modchip can unbrick your PSP.
Yes you can boot from the other firmware but how can you repair the 'bricked' firmware?
Basically it may give you a second chance but I can't see how it makes it safer...!

Dear Noobs,

Why don't you read up on things before asking stupid questions. Not only will you learn about what you want to know but you'll probably find out a whole lot more. Another bonus is that you'll probably also learn how to spell all at the same time...

Give it a try, what have you got to lose?

Yours truly,
Uncle Bob

P.S. Thanks to all the developers out there making all this fly homebrew!
