DevHook Sample Launcher v0.42 Released

BOOSTER has updated Device Hook Sample Launcher to v0.42. DevHook essentially gives 1.50 FW users the ability to emulate 2.0 and above firmware features and functions, i.e.) the PSP web browser and LocationFree player. I’m not quite sure if WMA playback is supported as this comes featured in 2.60… No less, you will also have the option to boot 2.0+ required (up to FW 2.50) UMD’s! All this on your 1.50!
Here’s a rough changelog translation…
- NO UMD reset fix
- UMD emu semaphore fix
- CLOCK reset
- ISO/CSO Separation
- XMB UMD separation
- XMB CLOCK functional
- XMB ISO
- CLOCK cycle functional
- terminal Kprintf
- Japanese (Japanese & mok)

It always worked, if you have problems it means you have corrupted registry files in the bios dump.
Yep it is confirmed. This version finally works with UMDs. Great job on correcting the problem.

USB means you can be IN DevHook and be connected to your computer at the same time , ….
USB is is that wire you have connected to you psp when you wanna put thing slike song s and stuff inside …

now loads with datel 4g hdd. however not all isos seem to boot.

Is anyone able to load their Daxter umd with this DevHook?
Problem found loading GTA UMD under an emulated 2.0 firmware.
It loads the police and ambulance videos and then goes to the loading progress bar screen and gets half way then fails. Black screen.
For upgrade from previous version. What are the files to replace?

how do you get the browser to work?
Bloody brilliant, had trouble at first with the settings but now is all sorted, mine is set to Reboot XMB, ISO AnyUMD, 2.xx -> 2.00 and fw 2.5 and cpu 333/166 – hope this helps anyone out there with the problems of it black screening and shutting down.

hey hmm try emulating the devhook at 2.01 – 2.5 I was able to get GTA LCS running and I was also playing adhoc with a friend it was awesome. DEVHOOK guys keep up the awesome work you guys rock!
the real question is, do we still need a umd in the drive to run iso’s?

Does this version now work with datels 4g hard drive? On the previous version the screen would go black and then reset the machine??
yes like i posted before this now works on datel 4gig harddrive. loading takes a few min but after that games run smooth
If you go to ps2nfo.com you can get DH v42 full whit all the files you need. and there is one whit DHv42 and USB.
