They need to reduce their prices else copy chip makers will just get a hold of their chip and make one and sell it for less.

Good for us bad for them.

And a quote from another site...for all of you children who have modded consoles before.....

"A full-size console is much easier to mod than the micro-PCB-sized motherboard of the PSP, which takes quite a level of precision to successfully mod"

Does seem a bit risky...even if you have soldered before.... You must be very careful as to not OVERHEAT the circuit board with the soldering gun...or you can be sure to do unrepairable damage..

Overheating when soldering quite possibly will loosen or create "cold solder joints" at other points on the board...rendering it useless...

Even though you may be adept at soldering, you still
have to scrape off the solder mask at various points on the circuit board to make the connections...

AT 16 POINTS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD.... anyone out there who hasn't soldered before...or drinks too much caffeine...I wouldn't recommend it...

For a guy with a name like "Sir_hacks_alot" you should know what a modchip is! It needs to be fitted/soldered inside your PSP. And @ madman yes it does specify it will unbrick a bricked PSP :)
