I think that video is fake…for all the people who use the trainer for Liberty City Stories, we know that if you only have one save game (which is the trainer) and you start the game, the game will crash. so, that video is fake…

It is definately fake. You need two games saves on to load into the game and from there you load the eloader save. This guy only had one save which loaded up to the game and he tried to use the same one for the eloader exploit.

The reason why Sony does these updates is mainly to stop piracy, not homebrew. People out there continue crying for a downgrader so they can play ISO’s is the issue and unfortunately Sony needs to stop it or they lose the support from developers. Look what happened to dreamcast…piracy killed it and developers dropped from making DC games.

Sony should make an application that would save a umd to the memory stick and you would need the original umd to play the game. This way, Sony gets the sales and customers can enjoy games at faster speeds.

Incorrect. When a dev studio (such as Rockstar) wishes to make a game for the PSP, they go to Sony to purchase a PSP development kit. This includes a “special” PSP which can run pretty much everything (user mode only I assume), a toolchain and SDK to make the games, and a few documents. This in total costs around $7,000 USD.
The dev studio can do whatever they please until they decide to release a game. When they want to release the game, they do ALL of the coding (including the exploits that made eLoader possible). They went to Sony with the executables and told them that this is our game. Sony then burned it onto the UMD’s (Sony is the only known company with access to UMD burners).
Whether the UMD’s go back to Rockstar for distrib. or if Sony sends them out directly, I’m not sure. But I can say with 99% possitivity (is that a word?) that Sony forced Rockstar to fix it.

dude this shit is fake like someone said earlier in this, that there is only one saved game when the guy shows you the eloader thing he could of just changed the images duh! well then since he only has one save game and the other is the eloader how come the save gave takes him to the hotel/his house or whatever. then when he “reloades” the eloader it goes to the same place.
and shouldn’t the exploit be patched where it says currupt data like firmware 2.61+ does

I agree with Rivera82falcon… Sony should allow us to get UMD games we buy and then use some program that’s could be in a future update for the PSP to make encrypted ISOs. Maybe the encryption might have something to do with using some kind of ID number from the PSP it was created on so only that PSP can use it.

i use the eloader no problem. but it isnt exactly legal using the exploit. i can bet that somewhere you can find the line “you cannot redistribute or modify this product in anyway” i dunno. i dont mind using it. but if your wanting a reason why, thats probably it. youre infringing on copyright.

Yeah its true because i just bougt GTA for the psp and had rented a copy a few months back and still have it. And the rented copy lets me do homebrews but the newer version doesnt.

If you want proof ill make a vid showing everything but its very true, no reason to lie. Just dont buy a newer version of GTA thats all get used copies.
