this fix turns off my psp once it loads. it s not a fix.

Works for me. make sure you copied/overwrite devhook.prx to ‘ms0:/dh/kd/devhook.prx’

you need devhook 0.41b first then you can fix the prx without getting a blackscreen.

Can wait for the next version of Dax with devhook incorpored in it :(

Actually I think Devhook is being incorporated with support for compressed ISO’s.

Nope. Only 2.5 Think they are currently trying to implement 2.71 on it.

Ok, ok I have 1.5 i cant seem to get the show on the road. This Devhook thing is killing me. I installed .41b then the fix. I still get the black screen after reboot. Anyone els get passed this prob if so wut did you do to fix this prob. thanx

Did you use the firmware installer for 2.0 & 2.5 thats included with devhook .41b?

does this one work on Datel 4gb HDD?

socom seems much slower to load online, wouldnt even find the server with this update

I really hope dev hook incorp compressed ISO’s. Dax seems good, untill you start to install it, Rubix cubes have seemed easer than all the settings, realted apps and paramiters for each iso. Further more typically reliable tutorial sources such as psphacking101 seem reluctant to talk about it for fear of sony getting the hump. Im all for these advances, but lets not have this exclusivity for the super geek pretty please! IMO**

I can’t get this thing to work either on my 1gb memorystick or my datel 4gb. I tried every possible change in the program and tried with an old game (virtua tennis) and a new (fight Night Round 3). It just goes to blacksreen and after a few seconds the psp reboots! i’m running firwmware 1.5. Can anybody help me with this problem.

so where exactly do i place the ISOs i want to have in my MS in order to load them??

am still waiting for a fix… that will make my 4gb hdd work… if anybody knows how to make it work on the 4gb hdd by datel, plsss…. help.. maybe tutorials…

i cant get so see the iso files in my M can anyone explain to me where do i have to put them or if i need any additional software or something.. the dev hook sample launcher seems to start up well adn stuff but it doesnt show a list of the ISO files in the MS.. help plzz

i can get psp running 2.50 using my datel…. and my game shows up in the game menu…. however, when i start the game i get a black screen and it stays that way…. had it on for 2 hours and psp never turned off…. it was like it was stuck on a loop of darkness… but power stays on… i had it working for one night using dh 0.40 but it no longer works… cant understand it!!!

by the way.. i get to 2.50 wih my datel using the swap method!!

If you reformat your mem stick and then follow the instructions this thing works fine.

For everyone having problems with black screen & reboots, simply GET RID OF THE FIRMWARE PSPHACKS PACKED WITH THE UTILITY.

Then put a UMD with a 2.0 or with a 2.5 update and launch dhinstaller.

It will extract a fresh firmware with correct settings and put all the files in the right folders.

The firmware packed in the psphacks releases contains screwed registry and params files causing somo PSP to hang and reset.

Oh, I forgot: BOOSTER already implemented compressed isos, but you need the CSISO tool in order to compress and decompress them.

Compatibility with Dax format will be probably implemented in the future releases.

CSISO converter doesn’t work to me!!! Do I need some plug-in…or java support???

the CISO converter confused me at first.. then i figured it out..

you have to right click onthe .bat file and click edit..

then type in your iso like this:

ciso 9 nba_ballers_rebound.iso nba_ballers_rebound.cso

make sure you game is called the same as the one you type it.. in the exact same format. no extra spaces or anything. just straight typing. then it should work for you..

BTW.. i figured this out by reading the README included in the CISO converter tool..

i cannot run the game with DH 0.41c
my psp system is 1.5,and no udm,i run the game”太鼓の達人 ぽ～たぶる”.
when i start the game,it will restart my psp all the time…

For those with the “black screen” problems.
As above, the included V2.00 firmware is a dud.

Delete the “dh” directory on the root of the memstick.
Delete the folders “DEVHOOK”, “DEVHOOK%”, “dh_inst” and “dh_inst%”, which are in the PSP/GAME/ directory.
Delete those folders only. This deletes all Devhook files.

Now, copy the files for V0.40 to the memstick.
InsertNow, copy the files for V0.41 to the memstick.
Now, copy the files for V0.41a to the memstick.
Now, copy the files for V0.41b to the memstick.
Now, copy the .prx file for V0.41c to the memstick.

O.K., thats the base install.

Now, on the memstick, open the “dh\200″ folder.
Delete the “flash1″ folder. Delete all files except the .txt file.
Open the “flash0\kd” folder. Delete all but the .txt files.

Insert a UMD with a V2.00 Firmware Upgrade, boot the PSP and run the “devhook firmware installer”.
Once this has installed, reboot the PSP and run Devhook.

Now you are GOLDEN.

i never had a problem figuring out how to use any of the loadres that came out for 1.5 at the beginning .. dunno why this is is being so ‘difficult’ i jstu dunno where to place the iso files in order to load the,,.. anyone?

Iv you ask me version .041c doesnt work. When I replace the file my psp goes black. With 0.41b it works with no problems. I have jap.1.5(PSP 1000)

you have to start from 0.40 version and do the updates version one at a time to avoid getting mixed up and not to missplace any files , and you should be running the best loader I’v ever seen in my life thanks to all for this great release :) and keep up the good work .

THIS IS WHAT YOU DO PEOPLE!!! *READ BELOW*

1. (Skip this step if you’re doing fresh install) Delete your current Devhook folders inside the PSP/GAMES folder, and also delete the dh folder in the root of your memory stick.

2. go to the tutorial by Chaos Zero (linked above)

3. Download either of his full setup packs, extract the new folders where they belong (Devhook folders in PSP/GAMES and dh folder in root of memory stick).

4. Load up Devhook and enjoy.

*Note that his packs come with custom background but that can easily be customized by going into dh/250/flash1/theme/ and replacing the background with your own.

I have read that FW 2.71 works…but it needs 80 seconds to start!!! So he is working to implement it on the next versions of the HB…
