GMDude66 building on the work of some others have been hard at work helping you feel a little less hopeless when you lose your PSP. Although the security on this program looks like it could easily be cracked I’m sure most PSP thieves don’t have the smarts to figure this out ahead of time. I wish this program was out when I lost my first PSP.
PATS - a theft protection utility for the Sony PSP. PATS will now only send an email if the PSP is plugged into another computer (other than your own) by using the registry to store the value ‘Owner=True’ under a specific directory. When the PSP is connected via USB it will auto run the checking system and determine whether the registry key exists or not, if it does not the application will send you an email summary.
All files in the download were coded by GMDude66 including the new PHP mailer which includes IP resolve, browser and language detection in the email it sends out. For full installation instructions, just refer to the readme documents inside the download file.
first!!!!
Anyway this is good but it really doesnt fell like it will help if they got your psp even if you track their ip
Yea, I’m looking for something that would do something more like electrocution.
well you could phone the police and they could get a warrant for the address of that customer from the ISP. If you kept your box you can then match the serial numbers up.
comon u guys this is a GREAT!!!!
not it fckin crap we wont the propper hacks n by ythe way new iso site http://www.steakandcheese.com
thank god man my psp got stolen at skool it had a one gig and soccom also which made it worse it was a 1.5!!!!! ahhh bastard so i had to sell my modded xbox and buy another one
The auto run inf doesnt work wen you didnt add the reg file and plug your psp with requaird files in the root nothings hapend you have to run findowner.bat….
And this is all the story if this doesnt work what can i do with this???
Thanks …..
wut happens if the person who stole the psp doesnt have internet, lol. were will the message go?
In anyway, this is a really great idea!
Congratulations!
lol what are you gona do when you get the ip? hunt them down? and then what after that bust open there bedrom window and toss a flashbang nad in and get it lol and i realy dont think the police would track it for you
Anyone know where abouts in the registry the thing is stored, cos i wana get rid of it n test it. Should be removal instructions…
S’alrite, found it, PSPAntiTheft, who’d've guessed…
Doesn’t autorun…other than that it’s pretty nifty, should just change the name of findowner.bat to something very tempting like porn movie.mpg.bat n change the icon thusly, that oughta do it.
can’t the thief just throw the memory stick away and get another one ;) before they plug the psp into the computer
and what if the theif gets the psp and pluggs the psp into the computer but what if they have dial up or something and they aren’t signed on how would the tracker thing work
or what if the thief dont have the internet???
i don’t think this will be very good…. or who knows it probably could save some ppl from buying a new psp
So I assume this bat file auto runs when plugged into usb port of PC.
if that is so then Microsoft Anti spyware blocks bat files and will prompt user before it runs.
Once memory card is wiped out then all files related to previous user are untraceable. And if someone really wanted they could mimic these emails sent and just randomly pick ip addresses and make it look like these users have nicked their psp’s.
Hence the pointlessness of this piece of software..
It would be a better idea to have a pin lock on the psp. So only you can open it.
what would be better is if sony had the psp voice activated so that those asshole stealers out there can’t open it with their own voice or any other way. instead of a power switch, we would only have to say “on” and “off.” there is no way any one can crack anything that is voice activated.
Now… only if my PSP hadn’t been dropped and its USB connection been malfunctioned… =[
14’s got a point a pin system would be a good idea and alot easier to do
I think this would just be rubbing salt in the wound for anyone who had their PSP nicked. I’d hate to get an email telling me some son of a bitch is now plugging my PSP into their PC, and about to get some enjoyment out of it. I think a better idea is a program that bricks the PSP if you enter a pin incorrectly 3 times.
2.6 don’t have kernel support.. can’t brick PSP.. but on 1.5 etc. =)

How about a program that puts a deadly virus on the theifs computer.. lol then send an email to the owner telling the owner. That’d be funny :D
yea i would like one that makes cheese squirt out of the psp holes, lol that would be cool
how u suppose 2 get it back does it have a gps system to send with the email. this is still kool but how ima get my psp bac if i dont noe where it is
will this work with 2.7? im sorry if this question aggrivates people
