Alright, let me answer some questions that might arise.

It does work on firmware 2.01+ with the eloader.

If you get socket connection errors, check your .ini file for any other text than your ip address. If your ini file has the “//Enter your IP address below” Take that line, and any other text out of the ini file. You just JUST have the ip address in the ini file and that’s all.

Your router must have port 8888 open and forwarding to the computer that is running DScaler. If you don’t have a router, don’t worry about it.

I use it mostly as a TV and server nowadays.
Enjoy the program Guys, it’s not perfect, but I love making it nevertheless. I am highly considering to using VLC instead, and when time permits, I will probably do so. In the mean time, pray to your local deity and see if TVSP works for you :-)

If looking PAL video TVSP cropping bottom of image. If NTSC – all ok. May be software working only with 480 lines, not 576.

Make sure to set PixelWidth to 320. It might be in another menu. Just look for a PixelWidth submenu and change it to 320.

to gottaluvme2841: i would imagine the Closed Captioning would happen inside of Dscaler, so try snooping around in the program to see if it is supported. i couldn’t answer your question cuz i have never used Dscaler, but i would imagine it would be in there, but then tvsp program would have to support it as well i guess, unless it’s just a capture of what Dscaler is outputing

DScaler uses massive amounts of *bidirectional* bus bandwidth: 250 megabits per second incoming bandwidth (from TV card) and about 500 megabits per second outgoing bandwidth (to videocard). This bus data firehose is not feasible on PCI bus, as PCI can reliably continuously transfer up to about 600-700 megabits per second *in one direction only* out of a possible 1056 megabits per second (132 megabytes per second) due to overhead. Try to go bidirectional, and framerate literally gets the death penalty!”

So Basically no pci will work, which is a majority of people

you gotta make your own tvsp.ini file from note pad. Yes this does work, no it’s not fake. It’s fps is not good (in other terms, it doesn’t run at full speed) and it doesn’t have sound. You have to have a soundcard that works with dscaler and you might as well wait for a better realease if your gonna fuck about it. Great release Andy, I’m having a great time watching cartoons on my psp cuase the lipsync doesn’t matter and i can still here the audio from my computer.

go to notepad. write your ip adress of the computer using dscaler (by doing, run, cmd, ipconfig) type it down. save it as tvsp.ini as all types and transfer that to the memstick in the tvsp folder.

i have tried EVERYTHING to make this program work i have pinnacle PCTV rave and i opened pert 8888 and replaced the file and put the ip address in the ini file and i tried to see if it works on both 1.5 and 2.0 but on 2.0 it just shows me the black screen after it says connecting for 2 seconds and on 1.5 it says connecting and then says connect failed after like a minute and the black screen comes and psp shuts off can someone PLEASE help me i think this is a great program and i really want to try it PLEASE help me
