Dark_AleX, author of DAXZISO loader, has released another convenient homebrew app enabling you to create a backup of your UMD in DAX, ISO or GZIP format. You’re left with the option of dumping the UMD directly to the memory stick or to your PC via USB using PspLink.
Features in UMD DAX Dumper beta:
- Dump to: Selects the destination directory - ms0:/ISO, ms0:/UMD or host0:/ISO [for use with PspLink]
- Format: DAX, ISO or GZIP [GZIP format is not supported by any loader, you’ll have to decompress the GZIP archive with a compression tool, i.e.) WinRAR]
- Compression level: select the compression level for DAX or GZIP format. 9 for maximum compression [smaller file], but is of course slower. 1 for minimal compression [resulting in a larger file], and is considerably faster.
- Split size: create the UMD dump in sized volumes, or select no split if you wish to dump the full UMD to a single file.
There are a few things to note so you should check out the README.TXT for further details.

Stop complaining about iso loaders not working on your shit-brick that is 2.6. Coders put a lot of effort into making iso loaders. $ony offered shitty updates so retards would update and lose iso loaders, but for them to make more money.

Who cares about ISO loaders I bought my psp with 1.5 on it and I did play about EVERY game that came out for psp But you know what? They ALL SUCKED!!!Now that the games are getting better I uppdated to play them all….Besides you dont appritate the games as much when you get them for free,you end up investing more time into them when you buy them!!Shit I’v got two servers on my comp one for my music I use the iTunes RSS sever to listen to my music whereever I go then I have HFS to download videos and picks ANYWHERE!!! So most of us were into the ISO thing but eventually Sony will LOCK US ALL OUT SOMEHOW and for all you 1.5 ers you should have just got a GPX32 instead!!!!!I’ll tell you what when the ps1 emu comes out Im updateing no matter what!! I’ll have the best of both worlds!!!

I tried this app, and got an error. It didn’t matter which format I was dumping the image to. I am surprised that no one else has posted the same experience…
#16, fuck gpx32, i use my 1.5 because i don’t have to carry dumb ass umds around with me. And most of the “good” games you’re talking about do work on a 1.5, monster hunter portable, Street fighter 3, syphon filter etc.
ANyway, great release Alex, will try it out this arvy after work.

The scene is homebrew not ISO’s. Now load THAT in your 2.7 and then comment about that.

MANAGED TO GET FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 UMD TO BOOT UP, USED THE X FOLDER FROM THE KING KONG FIX, LOADED UP STRAIGHT AWAY, NO SAVE THOUGH. BACKUP ONLY SEEMS TO WORK WITH ORIGINAL UMD IN THE DRIVE, WHICH MEANS IT CAN BE FIXED ALSO BUT I DONT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO DO SO. JUST THOUGH ID BETTER LET U GUYS KNOW SINCE THERE IS HOPE FOR ALL GAMES WORK ON 1.50. NUFF LOVE TO THE GUYS CREATING THE PROGRAMS AND THE SITES FOR HOSTING THEM. *GRANDPSP*
