use a lua player, actually, im not sure, i’m just gonna get a lua player for the psp and go off from there

actually, you just need to convert the eboot useing the no-kxploit or the seipsptools. unfortunatley it’s not prepackaged for convinence. And don’t get your hopes up, the holything you can do is move the guy around.

I don’t think LUA player works with the eloader. Too bad I had to upgrade from 1.5fw before the UMD loader for 2.0fw games came out. Also, by then I got an awesome game but it made me upgrade to 2.5fw It is with a heavy heart that I must say that someday, unless fanjita and other hackers keep up the good work with eloaders, many of us will have to say goodbye to homebrew forever… :(

So this is just a “oh hey look what we are doing” type thing?…dang…i almost pissed myself too…well great work! but ill diffenatly be waiting for the full version…and it says on fanjita’s list that lua player works with 2.01+ so i would download it and try it out…

For f**k sakes… PLEASE, PEOPLE, DO A LITTLE RESEARCH instead of asking “how do I install this? Does it work on 2.6??” over and over again. Download from the link. Uncompress. Put “starcraftpsp” folder in MS0:/PSP/GAME/ - Launch GTA:LCS+eLoader and see. EVERYTHING goes in /PSP/Game at this point.

Nice work, but this is more a 0.2a than a 1.2a.

Lua, while a great and easy language to use, has limitations that won’t allow for the complex A.I. needed in this game. (well, technically it could, but not without serious lag) This is a good proof of concept to expand the limitations of what is done on lua thou, and far beyond what I could do. So i guess i’m saying, good work man.

okey, heres what i got. my psp is 2.01
using GTA (alternate super bock)
i also put luaplayer .16

1)put all 3 starcraft folders into games. run gta, i get 3 options.
a)luaplayer .16
b)starcraft psp 1.2a
c)starcraft psp 1.2#KX (??)

i run (b) and i get the title screen and everything running. once into actual gameplay, scv follows the curser, goes ontop of minerals, etc. cant do shit there. i run (c), i get the exact same thing. when i run (a) i looked around, ran all the .lua files and the closest ive got to was the exact same thing as (b)and(c).

._. maybe its still beta…

the cursor should move about 4x faster and use R to make it go slow for fine mouse conrtol

I agree with all previous posts that mention warcraft, we need a port of this. Starcraft is indeed a much better game, but Warcraft II would likely be more solid because of the simplicity of it compared to Starcraft. Besides, i’m better at Warcraft II.

yea it works on psp 2.6!!!! with the gta e loader:)…..only thing is….how do u play this game lol…..i clk and my guy moves but thats it mostly can go any farther then where u start out :(…..hopefully it works for u guys

You’re all dumb… you can’t write Starcraft in Lua… not in a million years. It will never run. Now if you write it in C on the other hand. Right now this is a simply click and move bitmap image in Lua. Even a retard could program it. This project will never go anywhere unless the coders use the Starcraft code, clean it up, and write in C for God’s sake.

It’s a good idea. They need to go in the right direction however.
