PSP-FTPD v0.3.2 Released
greg | April 9, 2006
Update: ZX-81 has quickly updated PSP-FTPD to v0.3.3 – not much new in this release with the exception of allowing you to specify serveral usernames/passwords and root directories in a configuration file [psp-ftpd.cfg] – if you wish to host a multi-user FTP server.
Over the past few days ZX-81 has been working hard to improve the PSP FTP daemon, PSP-FTPD, initially developed by PSPKrazy and further developed by Raf.
ZX-81 has fixed many bugs, improved stability and transfer speeds, and has also added some additional features – lets not fail to mention this now works on all current firmware versions! Below is the entire change log [v0.3.0 to v0.3.2] from the README.txt:
v0.3.2:
- Capability to specify in a configuration file (psp-ftpd.cfg), a root directory for the ftp server, to prevent ftp clients to access all the content of your memory stick. See the psp-ftp.cfg file for the syntax.
[WARNING: the psp-ftp.cfg file format has changed !]- Improve transfert rate: 500kbps from PSP->PC and 350kbps from PC->PSP using Filezilla. DON’T USE Internet Explorer if you expect high transfer rates, use rather Filezilla or other suitable FTP clients.
v0.3.1:
- Bug fix in rename command, RNFR handshake message was not strictly compliant with the RFC, and it wasn’t understood by IExplorer.
- Capability to specify in a configuration file (psp-ftpd.cfg), a couple user/password for FTP authentication.
- Add usage informations in the README file
- Binary version for 1.5FW
- Improve transfert rate (500kbps from PSP->PC, 200kbps from PC->PSP)
v0.3.0:
- A menu to select your WIFI Access point.
- A really working multi-threaded version that can handle several client at the same time, and exit properly.
- Removing all user/password security check stuff (useless for file transfert between a PC and a PSP).
- Capability to rename files (FTP commands RNFR and RNTO)
- Capability to download or upload recursively a complete directory
- Many bug fixes.
- Working version for 2.5 and 2.6 FW.
It’s recommended you check out the included README.txt for more information.
Enjoy!

3.3 is already out on q.j.
Hey does this work for 2.6 and 20. what is q.j.
if there is a router connected to a network with a fileserver, will i be able to connect and log in, or does the fileserver need to be set up correctly, or run a specific program?
Can I use this to transfer files over the internet and not just my local network
(#23)Yep, as long as your psp is at the end of the connection with WI-fi acsess.
