eLoader Alternative 0.9.7 to “Bock”

Posted by Josh

Fanjita has today release an alternative version of the eLoader 0.9.7 called “Bock”. His release is in response to the number of people who complained about the original release of “Bock”. I have personally tried this on my PSP with firmware version 2.60 that took an extremely long time to load up the eLoader with the initial release of “Bock”, after installing the “Bock” alternative my problems were solved. The update is the same (still has wifi support) except for the menu caching that was causing problems for some users.

Below is the excerpt from fanjita.org:

A lot of people have been having problems with the Bock release, especially on v2.0 PSPs. These problems seem to be mostly due to the menu, so we’ve packaged a version of the release that uses the old menu. This will also be better for people who have had a problem with the file list caching feature.

Apart from the menu, this version is identical to the standard Bock release, including all the wifi support. You can download this release in the usual two flavours: Auto-Installer for Windows, or ZIP file for other platforms. Please also look at the README file, it has lots of useful information.

Thanks for the update Fanjita!

It’s ‘Bock’ not ‘Super Bock’, just like ‘Brown Ale’ were we used a ‘Newcastle Brown Ale’ cap.

it’s probably from the douches who put every homebrew they can find on there. or from one of those 1337 h0m3br3w packs they got off Kazaa. fagots. anyways, 1.5 pwns ur a$$3s.

hey im from portugal and i would like to say that super bock is the name of a portuguese beer which earned the prize of the best beer of the world so i think this homebrew dont`t deserve a name so greatfull. in my opinion super bock the one aplication who deserve this fabulous name is a downgrade to 2.01+ the most wanted homebrew of ever…

nmbr 10# i think youre probably right because we all now that fanjita and ditlew can make us a downgrader but i think a -= iso-loader =- for firmware 2.50 is much beter than a downgrader i think so there comes a time that all the 1.50 user must upgrade because if they don’t they cannot play all the new games till then they can play all the backup iso’s they want

Is this a way to play downloaded games on your PSP version 2.5?

This is gonna sound real nooby, but does this still require you to have GTA? I am stuck on a 2.5 PSP, and there is no way for me to get GTA. I am just waiting for the day a 2.5 downgrader comes out.

@20: Try DGen 0.7 - I use 2.60 with the Bock eLoader and it works perfectly.

Smash GP is a pretty good homebrew, 23. BTW, the Bock loader couldn’t load it for me. The screen just goes black and the PSP turns off. I’ll go to the help forums next, but can anyone here help me?
