TaSkPSP v0.4

greg | March 23, 2006

ss13801, from our forums, has released an update to TaSkPSP.

TaSkPSP is written in the LUA scripting language, and what this does is basically what you see below - displays a status summary of the PSP in its current condition.

TaSKPSP v0.4 Screenshot

Changes in v0.4:

-UMD PRESENT NOTIFICATION
-BATTERY VOLTAGE NOTIFICATION
-NEW BATTERY CHARGING NOTIFICATION ICON
-NEW COLORS
-NEW FONTS
-UPDATED ICON
-REMOVED TaSkPSP FILE MANAGER/VIEWER(WAS NOT COMPLETE/WILL BE ADDED AGAIN IN FUTURE UPDATE)
-STAND ALONE VERSION FOR 1.5 FIRMWARE DID NOT TEST ON 2.X

Very simple - yet it may serve useful for those just learning the LUA language.

once again #1 but who cares. i just post 2 be silly. ANYWAY this is a good download i like it on my 1.5 version.

P.S. I’m working hard around the clock for the 2.6 crybabies to make a downgrader hack. That way 2.6 will die and 1.5 rulez all!! And who ever the 1 thats working on the N64 games(roms) and the emulator, keep it up just take your time. :P

Anyone who thinks that this is a waste of time, thats fine. But why flame the creator? I’m sure he’s done more than any of you have ever done, So all of you stfu. Like restless said, you should respect anyone who puts time and effort into something even if it isn’t something your going to use.

So, nice app ss13801.

And all you flaming noobs should stfu.

You bunch of ungrateful Twats! This guy has spent weeks writing this software and you go and shit on him. If you think it’s “lame” or “Stupid” why don’t you try and code something instead of ripping these guys to pieces!
Fucking Idiots!!

I for one appreciate this app. I live in Australia where we can easily get into 40’s Celsius weather in the summer. During this weather I worry about running my PSP at 333MHZ, and settle for the slower speeds, in lieu of not cooking the CPU. I usually use the SNES9X EMU to check the running temp, and so this will make it much easier for me to keep track of my PSP’s vitals. Forget these flaming idiot’s comments ss13801, they’re just little brats whose daddy will buy em a new unit when they fry their’s. Keep up the good work mate.

cool , does this work in my piece of shit 2.6 , probably not , but this is very nice and flamers shut up , they are working for almost free or free so don’t flame , few people work for others for nothing in exchange ( like me , well in other things cause I know nothing of hacking ) and they are using their time and time is gold , I mean money , I mean valuable , I think this is nice because it makes my psp be even more of a multi function device and I don’t like the current battery meter that isn’t quite especific and sometimes I listen to music and all of a sudden battery runs out and I if I strat listening to music I wanna hear it ti’ll the end , if I don’t get to hear ti’ll the end I don’t listen to it.

The only people that complain are n00bs that don’t know anything about the psp. Atleast the creator is smart enough to come out with this app. better than any of you fckers could do. You guys have no life to come here and say #1!! , #3!! Atleast say something ABOUT the program..

this is pretty cool for some people who do hacking and stuff and need to know this, not something i would ever need or use, but i respect you ss13801, i know i could never do as good. And number 2, good luck on the downgrader, i hope you succeed before 3.0 is released, cuz i hate 2.6 and am definitly upgrade to 3.0 for the ps1 emulator and flash.

The PSP obviously has a temperature sensor on the CPU. Most PC’s have these as well.

the temperature isn’t of the psp but of the battery anyway you can show almost all information with this line done in 10 seconds (in c):
printf(” %d%% %dh%dm %fv %d grad C %s %s\n\n”, scePowerGetBatteryLifePercent(), (scePowerGetBatteryLifeTime()/60), (scePowerGetBatteryLifeTime()-(scePowerGetBatteryLifeTime()/60*60)), (float)scePowerGetBatteryVolt()/1000, scePowerGetBatteryTemp(), scePowerIsPowerOnline() ? “Plugged” : “”, scePowerIsBatteryCharging() ? “charghing” : “”);

i appriciate anyone who works on any of these things cause i would have to work long and hard to even learn how they do it.

i would lie to know if onyone could make a nice scientific or graphing calculator program for the psp thtat is easy to use and works on the web browser. it would be quite handy for schoolwork. :)

This is a very useful program. The one thing that really made me interested is being able to see my Psp’s temperature. Now I can monitor every program to see how much strain it puts on the unit and less likely brick my psp heating wise
