iR Shell v1.2 Released

AhMan has released iR Shell v1.2. iR Shell combines many useful features into one clean shell – MP3 playback during game play (UMD or homebrew), a screenshot capture tool, an infrared universal remote control, and now in v1.2 – Adhoc Wifi file transfer support!
From the included README.TXT:
- To use adhoc wifi file transfer, go to directory view and highlight the file or directory you’ll want to send. Then, press Left Trigger + Cross and follow the on-screen instructions.
- You can choose a single file or a single directory to transfer. Pls pay attention when you choose a single directory as it’ll send over all files & sub-directories under it.
- The file transfer protocol currently has no error recovery. If one of the PSP loses sync, you’ll need to hit Square button toabort the transfer and restart the whole thing again.
- The file transfer throughput isn’t that great at the moment and is around 90KB/sec when the receiving side has a Sandisk MS. It will drop down to 3XKB/sec when the receiving PSP has a Sony MS. This is just another way to prove the slow write access on Sony MS.
- The PSP wifi system modules are loaded into user space. As a result, you may encounter some compatibility issues when playing certain UMD games while doing file transfer simultaneously.
- File transfer progress & estimated time display.
Note: The current file transfer protocol is very primitive and there is no error handling or recovery. A proper file transfer protocol with error recovery will be incorportated into a future release which should also double the throughput.

Shut up all you 2.0+ users. We don’t really care if something doesn’t work on your PSP. You shouldn’t have upgraded in the first place.

go to that page and look up the 3.0 update they have a video and every thing. so 3.0 IS the whole package.
This release is really cool but it breaks the compatibility with DevHook GL. All the previous version have no problems launching DevHook GL from the shell. I hope the author will look into this matter.

first of all, to get this out da way, good ork, haven’t tried it, but am hoping it will work with eboot loader (damn the 2.01) anyways, 3.0 IS looking pretty sweet right now, but don’t worry, sony won’t live up to the hype. It will seem nice, but it’ll get old fast. A nice little app you got here. adds function to my psp and easily spooks my friends when I change the channel while takin a dump. (he he…. okay, sorry… I know I crossed a line, go sit in the corner, sorry)
Listen for you idiots who think you will be on 1.5 foreever. Think Again … Sony has patched future games to require 2.6 and newer firmwares. Honestly with the games out for 2.6 I wouldnt wanna downgrade anymore period. especially with splinter cell here.
