GTA Cheat Device v1.0 Released

Posted by greg

Hey folks, sorry about the slow updates - been on a [and still am] hiatus in Las Vegas! Luckily there hasn’t been any real news/hacks worth mentioning; however, browsing quickly through the forums I discovered Edison Carter’s Cheat Device, for Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, has been bumped up to version 1.0. Yeah yeah, I know we’re behind with this - no one else has posted it and I’m away - so deal with it. ;)

But, all that aside, this release incorporates some fancy features:

  • Hover cars - like Back to the Future!
  • Gather spell
  • Full size video recording
  • Drivable RC toys

Download GTA:LCS CheatDevice v1.0 - US/CA release.

Download GTA:LCS CheatDevice v1.0 - UK/EU release.

Enjoy!

DAX ZISO Loader v0.4

Posted by greg

Dark_AleX has released a new version of the popular DAX ZISO loader - now sitting comfortably at version 0.4.

DAX enables you to shrink existing ISO images (that you’ve created from a backup!) using a custom compression format - resulting with more space available on your memory stick!

v0.4 changes:

  • Added 4 new emulation modes:
    1. System Menu - MPHGL
    2. MPHGL - VSH Exec
    3. DirectLoad - LoadExec
    4. MPHGL - LoadExec.
  • Added the option “Allocate tables in RAM”. When in off, compatibility will be greater than in previous versions.
  • Copy Load now uses the function “sceKernelLoadExec”, as UMDEMULATOR does.
  • The program now uses a different configuration file than UMDEMULATOR, avoiding in this way that UMDEMULATOR resets it to 72 bytes.
  • Removed the limitation that caused that if before the compression the iso had more than about 1365 MB, DAXZISO didn’t allocate the memory for the tables.

Everything you require is in the package below:

DAX ZISO Loader 0.4

By the way, this only works on 1.50 and you require a UMD to be present in the drive - for more info, click below…

OT: $199 PSP now in stores

Posted by Gary13579

Sony has finally released a cheaper version of the PSP (and it’s about time). This new version doesn’t come with all the stuff the value pack does; it only includes the PSP unit, a battery, and the AC adapter. That means if you want to save your games you will have to buy at least the $20 32mb memory card.

If you’ve been waiting to buy a second PSP (one for homebrew, one for official Sony games), this is definitely the time.
This new PSP will have 2.5 or higher firmware, that is almost guaranteed.

PDWE - PSP DIZASTER WMA Enabler

Posted by greg

supa_sick from pspdizaster has released a tool [PDWE] responsible for enabling WMA playback on firmware version 2.60 without requiring Wifi access to the Internet. What you’ll require now is a copy of the Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories UMD and eLoader - the rest is quite easy to accomplish:

  1. Extract “wmaenable” to the X:\PSP\GAME folder on the memory stick
  2. Start the GTA:LCS UMD
  3. Load eLoader and select the EBOOT named “PSP WMA ENABLER”
  4. Once the app has executed you will see “wma enabler,” press “X”
  5. WMA Support will be enabled returning you back to the eLoader menu
  6. Press “Start” to exit eLoader
  7. You will notice a change of look and system name.
  8. Put your WMA files on your PSP under X:\PSP\MUSIC
  9. Play your tunes!

There you have it - that easy! Afterwards you can change your PSP system name to anything you like.

And now a little warning: (from the README file)

*WARNING* if this bricks your psp, pspdizaster are not to be blamed. You are the one that took the chance of using this so blame yourself…

*** We at pspdizaster have tested this and have not bricked our psp so if you brick its your fault for altering the file while thinking you can do more with this file***

Now, with that said, download PDWE
