AgenaWorld v1.3 Released

greg | February 27, 2006

Update: To avoid questions and emails, I’ve taken the liberty to re-package AgenaWorld for PSP firmware version 1.50 [KXploit]. You can download that here.

The folks over at Games Depot have released the latest version of AgenaWorld, version 1.3.

AgenaWorld is an original multiplayer [PSP to PSP] space shooter that allows you to command a spacecraft to other galaxies, and visit all nine planets, including the sun.

In the near future, you captain a spaceship with extra-ordinary technology. Powered by nuclear fusion and fission generators and supported by ion micro-thrusters and gyroscopes, your ship can support long-term journeys. After a long travel in hybernation across the deep space, you come across the Juniper Belt and discover a mysterious asteroid surrounded by many “hypercubes”. They are alien in origination, but one thing is known, when your ship touches one of the cubes, a gravitation assist field is generated around your ship. Firing an EMP afterwards, activates the field and your ship is slingshot at great velocity towards a destination pre-allocated by the respective cube touched. It is year 2492, the year that all nine planets are lined up end to end from the sun to pluto. With the help of the cubes, you are able to travel to distant galaxies, nebulas, and even all nine planets in the solar system, overcoming the laws of relativity.

This game supports multiplayer via infra-red (IrDA) - make sure you’re within close range of each other for the best performance.

v1.3 changes:

  • Converted to true color (24bits/pixel) mode.
  • Multi-directional background scrolling
  • Shields and Fuel
  • Self-destiny (choose destination via cubes)
  • Solar system with planets (all to scale)

Download AgenaWorld v1.3

It’s a large game so you’ll require a >= 128MB memory stick.

128? thats much? my 256 card cost $50. That’s the price of one game and it still doesn’t satisife me. But I don’t want to pay $230 for a 4gb (funny how that’s the price of a 5gb ipod) Anyways, great homebrew, but it’d be really cool if you got some servers up and other cool shit. Also, you eloader people need to visit fanjitas site. It names a bunch of hombrew that work or not, it’ll keep you occupied.

you know, fanjita works hard, give him some cred. There wasn’t even suppose to be a loader for 2.0+, sony tries really hard to stop us from using unsigned code (which is really awkward since nintendo made it illeagal to run unsigned codes on their devices, wonder why sony doesn’t do the same) Anyways, lucky for fanjita, he found the crack in the loading program of gta (or someone tipped him, I don’t know) SO just say thank you, and stop bitching about “How come fanjita make a loader without gta?” (by the way, the answer is because ITS FRICKING HARD, you try going against paid programers to put unsigned codes on the psp, remeber these programers aren’t paid to do this, they may ask for donations, but the above factor of all this is that there would not be any homebrew at all for the psp so you guys that have an upgraded firmware please stop flaming. Thank you :)

Can someone unrar the download and check if it has the following files?

star-sun.bmp
supernova-lmcn63a.bmp
supernova-n132d.bmp

I found them at pspupdates.com download of this game. Was wondering if this archive has those files also. It stops the hanging on 2 cubes and the sun.
