KETM PSP v0.8

Posted by greg

Kill Everything That Moves (KETM) is an old school, highly addictive, fast paced tyrian style 2D shooter ported to the Sony PSP by Deniska. The screenshots really say it all: (click to enlarge)

KETM features:

  • 3 levels with different environments, music & bosses
  • 14 enemies with unique attack patterns and adjusting hostility
  • 7 primary weapons
  • 4 secondary weapons (rockets, laser, bomb, rotating shield)
  • 2 mods: original episode1 and 1941 mod by bourbon_bot
  • Fully modable design: you can change sounds, graphics, script your own attacking sequences and intensity.
  • Source code & PSPSDK Makefile provided

Deniska has also released a slew of ported homebrew titles for the PSP, including (just to name a few):

…plus many more.

These, and others, are all available over at Deniska’s forum release thread.

I’m not sure I’ll give this a try. I don’t even know how to setup doom, muchless run it, with Brown Ale. I’m not even sure that works for the 2.60. I almost feel certain I won’t be able to get this game running right. I may try it if anyone can help me out with a step by step.

cool, but gonna wait for a 1942 mod (I know there are roms and emulators, but I feel morecomfortable with an actual programed game)

The controls are kinda bad. When I press left or right it moves a lil’ bit and stops, even when I hold it down. And no, it’s not my psp D-pad, it works just fine with all my other crap.

It works with 2.5, and using the D-pad sucked. Using the joystick is a better

#7: I downloaded Doom 0.05. I was able ti get it running on my 2.60. You’ll need the Brown Ale eLoader. You also need PSP Brew to create a 1.0 EBOOT file. From there, just copy the Doom folder in the FW15 folder to your Game dir. You won’t need the Doom% folder. Then copy over the original EBOOT with the EBOOT you created with PSP Brew. I tried just using the EBOOT that was already in the FW10 folder, but that didn’t work. Go figure. I have Doom 2 running right now. My wad files for both DOOM and DOOM 2 are 11mb or more each.
    Any Who, hope that helps.

Great game but really hard. I cant even get passed leval 2.

You must use the joystick and the src files are source which means if your a programer you can use this to help you out or make a mod.
