Confused me too at 1st. Just extract the ISO. Then copy the prx2_0_0 folder to the root of ur mem stick. disconnect psp, then run decryptprx. When that is done, connect ur psp to ur pc again. Open the prx2_0_0 folder and delete evry file that has the .prx extension. Remove the .dcr extension from the remaining files so that they become the new .prx files. Copy the new prx2_0_0 folder so that it replaces the old 1. Compile PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.bin.

I didnt check if it works tho. I was helping #18 out. Jus gimme a second.

Ummm….so this is only for loading a GTA:LC ISO? Or does it work with the disc? And, if it’s a DEMO version, is there a way to pay to unlock a FULL version?

#36 i dont speak german. Did u copy the prx2_0_0 folder to the root of ur psp? If so, just run decryptprx, it should show u some txt and at the end it will say “(pop out the battery)” or sumthing like that. Pop out the battery and it shoul’ve worked

@48 you need to download the mph firmware launcher and than the 2.0 eboot… than install the firmware with the mph launcher and you have the flash0 and flash1 in the folder you installed it in…

I’m pretty sure that the PRX files will always be somewhere on the disk, you just have to hunt for them.

I’m downgrading as soon as the full version comes out. THIS IS AWESOME!

What is the best firmware launcher? I heard 1.4.0 was buggy…?

Downloaded eboot.pbp (fw 2.0) decrypted it…. out xout folders (whatever)… so where are flash0 and flash1 folders with kv, vhs blah blah for the mph firmware launcher? completely confusing guide

This is the best thing ever and the #1 game for PSP. Anyone tried to see if socom will work on this? And is it possible to get a 2.6 downgrader. This kid I know at my school told me he downgraded from 2.6->2.0->1.5…I havnt gotten the program and files needed to downgrade yet. Ill give all you 2.6 users info when I get the program. Not sure if he was lying or not. And he told me he did it already. I have 1.5. Dont get your hopes up too much. I dont know if it will work.

As for confusing 2.0 dump go to qj forums and search for MPH firmware launcher help. when you dump 2.0 just copy only flash0 and flash1 to MPHGameLoader dir. Then go to umd emulator select to boot from system menu and launch MPHGAMELOADER… gtalcs :)))… pac man world 3 though doesn’t load

This is typical. Oh well. It’s good to buy a few UMDs, anyway. I now have eight so I don’t really care if downloading ISOs is illegal or immoral - they’ve had their money from me and the games I bought (except GTA) are not worth £20 let alone the £35 I paid so I reckon I deserve some piratebay action!

had trouble getting it to work with pre-supplied flash0 and flash1 files, dumped JAP 2.0 EBOOT and everything works on my 1.50 JAP PSP.

socom works with new DecryptPRX 1.0.1 but it crashes after the mission movies and there is no saving!!! anybody has the same problem? can anybody post the “beta socom” prx files. i will try with them.

USE UMDgen to recreate a iso of it, it will take only some minutes. Than the iso of GTA should be a lot of smaler than 1GB.

Anyone tried socom yet???Maybe if we use the socom beta prx’s then use the prx decrypter and re-ISO the game it will load fully…..Ive tried to just replace the socom FTB prx’s with the beta version…it loads the menu but when you trie to do anything else the game crashes…….maybe the beta prx’s and this new trick will work…..anyway im too lazy to test…..just a thought!!

all i did in umdgen was open the iso set the padding to none then save and it shrunk my iso from roughly 1200mb to 875mb :)

This is my first post. Noticing that people seem to forget important stuff when they post I will help you #227. Favorite group by the way. It took me 15 mins to realize that people didn’t know or failed to mention that there is an update to the mph firmware installer 1.4. Only thing that is required is that you put the eboot.pbp some where on the memory stick, run mph firmware launcher select install firmware, then select .pbp installation it will tell you to select the file select eboot.pbp it will install when that is finish exit the program. The flash0 and flash1 folders should be in the root of the memory stick put them in the folder called mphgameloader if you don’t have one create one. After that add the mphloader.prx(not sure if that is the exact name, all of this is coming directly from my memory)to the mphgameloader file where you put the flash0 and flash1 folder. Now you are done leave everything the way it is even the extra files, I didn’t know what to delete so I left it as it was. There you have it GTA.

Sorry for the double post.
I also set flash0 and flash1 to “ON” in the umdemulator menu. I hope this solve your problem… it did for me.

#223, Its supposed to do that!
Just delete the ones ending with .prx and edit the names of the “doubles” by removing the .dcr extension. (the extension of the doubles are .prx.drc, just remove .dcr and it becomes the “new” .prx)

#227 this is a typical probel =) …. but easy to fix. Install UMD emulator 8.0. Load the iso with the emu!!!! Than push the Home button and say that u want to exit the program. Than start the 2.0 on 1.5 loader again and it will WORK xD !!!!

bit off topic but if anyone has a 23mb card a wants to try the game fired up. Then download the browser from this site. the go to http://www.yourpsp.com. here download anyof the maps for the game onto your card. Load the iso with umd emu and go to multiplayer,create new game,load the map (other maps) and play a sort of demo of the game :-) found this out by chance and at will fit onto a 32 mb card.

I posted in at #228 and 229 follow that, if done correctly you should be able to play GTA in no time.

I have a small problem, I do not manage to put the subtitles in French, I however took a US version of the play & after a EU, but nothing to make the only subtitles is in English, whereas in the Iso ther are 5 language of which the french. If somebody to help me, thank you.

There is one bad thing about this program. You can’t get custom soundtracks. I guess it was left out when shrinking gta with umdgen or maybe something to do with the .prx files being decrypted, well still have gta not to down about it.

There is not going to be an ISO loader for 2.0, MPH does not want to make a program that lets you play 2.0 ISO’s on a 1.5 he wants to make it so you can play 2.0 UMD’s on a 1.5. The point of this is so you can have 100% of the homebrew and 100% of the games, not so you can DL ISO’s from the web. I think it’s great to be able to test a game before you buy it but if you like it buy the game so the companies will keep making them. If no one buy’s games wee will end up with another dreamcast on our hands, and no one wants that.

He only did it because he could not find another way to get the loader to work. He is trying to get UMD’s working in the next version. The nice thing about MPH is that he is not going to deprive the PSP community of his loader just because he does not approve of ISO’s.

Have you even been to MPH site, it says clearly, if you can read, that he is hopeing to release a version that will run more games and that he hopes to make them run from the UMD. My point is that it’s people like you that wine that they cant run an ISO loader because that dont have any UMD’s. If to people stop buying games then companies will stop making them, then we will all be screwed. I download ISO’s so I can find out if the game is good, if it is then I BUY IT.

I buy games and dump the iso because it loads faster, unlike you who steals and then claims that you buy them afterwards. If MPH wouldn’t have did it someone else would have. Ok, if you buy games and dump the ISO rather then downloading the ISO’s and buying the game then you are a better man the I. I think that MPH did a great thing for the community and he should get alot of credit for it, but alot of other programers have done more important things, I am not kissing MPH’s balls. If you do dump all your own games then you agree with my point, even though it has been all but lost, that If you like a game you should support the creator and buy it. By the way, why would I put up this argument if I stole games and never bought them???

If you got all the original games you don’t need the ISO’s as it only uses space.

Homebrew can run on any firmware so What is your point??

I like to test the games before I buy them, also games run alot faster from an ISO.

Hey… Is it possible that the custom soundtracks dont work on the ISO? beacause i carefully followed the instructions needed to do that, and it still says the soundtrack is unavailable.

I tried this, and it works great!

Never satisfied (are any of us?), is there a way to get 2.6 games working? I extracted the ISO and found a files called “All.psp” in the USR_Root folder.

I got Dragonballz shin and GTA and socom my gta file is 511mb big DBZ is 296mb big use iso shrinker to make them small files like that ps. DBZ is a 2.60 game and yes is work with mph 2.00 loader
