There is a problem with NesterJ on the loader. It seems that all menus want to scroll to the top, so it takes forever to scroll through ROM’s and you need good timing to change things like graphics, sound, etc. Anyone else getting this problem?

A TIFF is a kind of image, like a GIF or a JPEG. like picture.tiff

The old 2.0 firmware exploit used a TIFF image to run homebrew, using the PSP’s ability to show pictures to get through. Hope this helps.

If you read the article it clearly does *NOT* say “ALL!!! homebrew??” anywhere.

GBA emulators have been reported working using the GTA method of launching the loader. I haven’t tried it yet.

I just tried NesterJ, which only worked on 1.5 and not even 2.0, but now it works on this new loader. this is great, almost everything i wanted (except for my backed-up ISOs) is now supported. now i will patiently wait for kernel-support to come along so i could play those. my whole homebrew world is back.

I’ve got nothing to prove. Ditlew and I developed the eLoader so that people can have access to homebrew. We do not approve of piracy, and so do not feel any need to support ISOs.

If we ever did add ISO support, it would be in such a way that only legitimate backups can be run – which I’m certain would not please 99% of those people yelling for ISO support.

Buy the games, or don’t play them. Don’t expect us to help you to steal them.

To all and Fanjita, I think that you are misunderstanding a lot of people here about the ISO loader. The fact is that the eboot loader is used for playing illegal games (SNES, MAME, SEGA, and NEO GEO). For me I do go out and buy the UMD but it helps when I do not have to carry 3 different games is a case to play. For other people who pass judgment on other people about playing illegal copy games ask yourself did you play for every piece of software or game that you currently have on your computer or used.

Fanjita is a great man who put time and effort on creating this eloader to allow us to play Homebrew….creating an UMD emulator that is compatible for v2.60 is not an easy task…some say they use for ripping the UMD to their MS so that they did not need to bring so many UMD out…and some say others use for priacy purpose…this is beyond our control we cannot..do anything to stop ppl from getting priacy…a priate game shop near my house is selling 3 DVD of different PSP GAME in it and each disc cost S$30…jus wait for the time when someone MAY create wat u want..

I originally bought GTA:LCS for the hack. I really didn’t have any intentions of playing the game. Now I’m hooked.

And you’re right to stand true to your principles. If people want the ISO loader that bad, then they should create it. No sense in compromising just for the sake of a few people who will only moan about it not being perfect anyway.

A little help um i have 2.60 i also have the old eloader here is my question i did the windows download and cilckes US GTA and hit run. it is on my psp now and when i looked at SAVEDATA the new files read “corrupted” on the HOME of my psp under where savedata is. there is no pic and it says corrupted i still have my old eloader there. is everything OK do i just run the old eloader but it is filled with new files or what? HELP! MY FELLOW 2.60’s

It’s not that I like downloading (stealing) every PSP games that come out…it’s just that it’s FREAKIN’ HARD to buy a GOOD GAME here in South Korea (lame excuse…)

Fanjita, you’re a great guy, and you did something AMAZING (that I can’t obviously do…so don’t anyone tell me to MAKE a ISO Loader myself..)..but I feel you CAN at least try to make an ISO loader for us….

i would be happy with an iso loader that only loads the iso if you have the reald umd in your psp because games run 10 times faster from the memory card. i cant stand the loading times especially on a handheld system.

Some people here should understand that Fanjita, like everybody, has his life, and coding eLoader surely takes him a lot of time. And I think it’s already a fantastic contribution for the psp scene… If any coder here has time to spend and wanna an iso loader, then just “try” to make it, but plz stop blaming and asking fanjita for this, he’s (and ditlew too) already doing an amazing job.

My Brother with his 2.6 PSP will be over the moon to be able to play Quake or Doom.
He’s not rich – GTA LCS is the only game he’s got and was the principle reason he bought his PSP. So Thank you Fanjita & Ditlew!
If some of you guys had kept a bit quieter about ISO’s then maybe Sony wouldn’t have plugged the holes so quickly…..

Using this loader ive managed to get umd emulator to run!! but it doesnt seem to recognise my ripped iso of GTA…although it will try to load something because when i choose launch iso it tells me that the game could not be started! I know it isnt going to work but i presumed that UMD emulator didnt boot at all! If it can boot then maybe 1 day it will actually work on 2.6 so can someone else try and post there findings? Cheers u angry beavers!!! : )

1 ) DOwnload > OPen installer : Select the Drive eg ; J:/ make sure it is correct drive > click nwxt > choose ur psp homebrew etc pack > thrn run installer > then it will install and away u go, dont work for me tho, aint got a workin psp
