off topic….but if nobody even gottan a GBA emulator to work good isn’t it kinda impossible to make the 64 work? not to rain on your parade but still good work…although i wish someone would have as much will as you to for the 64 as for the GBA

not necessarily. game boy advance is a newer system and is constructed way differently than say a N64. and probably oddly enough has a much crazier coding. its not that the psp cant run it. if thats what you’re getting at. This could pretty sweet. though

This emu is a waste of time and a false hope for others. It was a poor choice to try porting over to begin with. Just start from scratch and save yourself the headaches.

wow- why all the negativity? ok, you might think the guy is wasting his time making this emulator …so if there is significant progress just don’t put it on your psp. I think that what has been accomplished is great. It’s a long goal, but no one really thought that an n64 emulator would even get THIS far and thats been debunked. They guy isn’t getting paid for this, but he’s doing cool stuff for all of us, so why just tear into his work just to be negative? Let’s give him some support! PSMonkey you are awesome! The SNES emulator does run at full speed, you just have to tweak it a little. I don’t notice any difference when running a rom. Everyone, STFU if you want to enjoy free/good homebrew for the PSP. Quit being so negative. You ignorant twits won’t stop for a second and realize what really is going on. People are coding for the better of PSP entertainment for you for free. If it weren’t for homebrew, I probably wouldn’t use my PSP half the time. Realize any amount of progress is progress. READ THE “README.txt” files and quit trying to be spoon-fed. Realize that these are “hacks” and really aren’t supposed to run, so the fact that we are all able to run some homebrew is a great feat. So, in closing, SHUT THE **** UP and let them do what they do and appreciate it.

nice work but only 7 fps my ppc n64 emu rums about 50fps not sure how much you need to run smooth but some games on my ppc still run slow. keep up the good work though

PSmonkey, i commend you for your efforts and accomplishments. you and the other devs have turned a rather mediocre piece of gaming hardware into a great thing to use. if it weren’t for homebrew, i wouldn’t have even purchased the psp. hell, the only reason i purchased the xbox was it’s capabilities of being hacked.
the problem with everything making discoveries and wanting to share them with the world is that there will always be a band of 13 year old script kiddies, giving you shit and never contributing anything.

In any case, take my advice, PSM, and decide who matters enough to respond to and who doesn’t. Once you start letting yourself believe these crappers actually matter, you lose your cool, and any drive you may have had to continue to dev, and then the scene dies completely. Which, indeed, it gets closer to every day. Keep the spark going, man.

You dont have to worrie. Children like Flamer dont get under my skin. I just sometimes feel the need to yell back at them. It does not discourage me. It actualy just makes me have a good laugh that someone can think they’re soo cool by making a post about screwing my gf when they are the ones not getting layed. Really the guys who need to talk big about it are the ones not getting it. ;)

Anyways, if anybody wishes for more constant updates & inteligent discussion they can always register for the forums on my home page. I post there reguarly with status updates to all my projects (this & my 3rd person shooter iris).

N64 emulator is pretty possible but will take alot of effort and time. thanks PSmonkey for giving the time and effort to make a N64 emulator.

No… this will never be able to run commercial games at playable speeds. The XBOX has trouble running them… I guess people need to find something to do with their time though. All of this is for nothing… the 7~ fps is for a public domain rom which pushes no graphic capabilities, you people are getting overly excited. I guarantee this will choke

this is great. it can work, def, n64’s encoding is alot less compex then gba, almost like SNES. this is more then possible, i can’t wait to get zelda and mario on my psp:)
