psphacks.net and 71M, together with RK Digital.net, Heavy.com and Newgrounds.com, have released the first flash player for the PSP - SWFPlayer v1.1.
SWFPlayer v1.1 only runs on firmware version 1.50 and supports most action script through version 7.
There are a few known issues
Otherwise it runs quite smooth! The source code is expected to be released later on once things are cleaned up a bit.
Good job guys!
Comments (78)Update: To avoid questions and emails, I’ve taken the liberty to re-package AgenaWorld for PSP firmware version 1.50 [KXploit]. You can download that here.
The folks over at Games Depot have released the latest version of AgenaWorld, version 1.3.
AgenaWorld is an original multiplayer [PSP to PSP] space shooter that allows you to command a spacecraft to other galaxies, and visit all nine planets, including the sun.
In the near future, you captain a spaceship with extra-ordinary technology. Powered by nuclear fusion and fission generators and supported by ion micro-thrusters and gyroscopes, your ship can support long-term journeys. After a long travel in hybernation across the deep space, you come across the Juniper Belt and discover a mysterious asteroid surrounded by many “hypercubes”. They are alien in origination, but one thing is known, when your ship touches one of the cubes, a gravitation assist field is generated around your ship. Firing an EMP afterwards, activates the field and your ship is slingshot at great velocity towards a destination pre-allocated by the respective cube touched. It is year 2492, the year that all nine planets are lined up end to end from the sun to pluto. With the help of the cubes, you are able to travel to distant galaxies, nebulas, and even all nine planets in the solar system, overcoming the laws of relativity.
This game supports multiplayer via infra-red (IrDA) - make sure you’re within close range of each other for the best performance.
v1.3 changes:
It’s a large game so you’ll require a >= 128MB memory stick.
Comments (29)Over at Jylam’s Corner resides a new version of the access point (WiFi) sniffer. Unfortunately due to technical reasons [no promiscuous mode], WEP cracking is not available. Nonetheless this tool is quite cool. WiFI Sniffer v0.2 allows you to discover WEP encrypted and open wireless networks, displaying their status, speed, MAC address, and other various tidbits of information.

For obvious reasons, this homebrew application only runs on firmware version 1.50!
Usage:
Just copy WifiSniffer and WiFiSniffer% directories to your psp/game/ directory on MemoryStick. Then run it through PSP menu.
Keys:
A file named wifisniff.txt, located in the PSP/ directory, will be created displaying all discovered networks.

Comments (20)Homer has released Homer’s RIN v3.2 - the Gameboy/Gameboy Color emulator for the PSP. You know the rest…
What’s new in v3.2:
From Yeldarb’s keyboard:
To follow up yesterday’s release of netlib, youresam has put out a demo of the first homebrew instant messenger program. It is very simple, but it demonstrates how useful the netlib Lua library can be. The speed with which this program was released is a tribute to the ease of use of the library.
You can download the instant messenger demonstration over at the official netlib site.

Comments (33)Kill Everything That Moves (KETM) is an old school, highly addictive, fast paced tyrian style 2D shooter ported to the Sony PSP by Deniska. The screenshots really say it all: (click to enlarge)
KETM features:
Deniska has also released a slew of ported homebrew titles for the PSP, including (just to name a few):
…plus many more.
These, and others, are all available over at Deniska’s forum release thread.
Comments (36)Edison Carter just updated his site, releasing v0.9 of his GTA hacking tool. This program allows you to easily cheat in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, involving numerous things (change CPU speed, spawn vehicles, infinite health/armor). Best of all, it works on 2.01+!
A changelog:
and some release notes
Comments (36)You’ll need to move your cheats.txt file into the cheats directory. This version can access any cheats files in the cheats directory by highlighting “File: …” and pressing left/right. They’re in the order of the files in the directory, so make sure you copy the file you want to come up first into the directory first.
For tips on using Construction Mode, see this thread
When you enable Construction Mode, it doesn’t become fully active until you close the menu screen. Use the arrow buttons and analog stick to move around. You can move faster by holding X. It can be easier to see what you’re working on if you use L1+LEFT to zoom out.
Here is a list of known object IDs. Objects usually take a couple seconds to appear. If you move too far away from where the object was originally created, it may become invisible. Holding R1 will usually make it appear again.
