Fanjita and Ditlew have done it again! Now with use of the latest eLoader you’re able to boot a selection of standard homebrew games/apps on your PSP running firmware version 2.0, 2.01, 2.50 and 2.60!
You’ll of course require the GTA:LCS UMD, so head over to Lik-sang and pick up a copy!

You guys listen to #32 Fantija is probably smart enought to know how to make ISO loaders for all version, even if he does make one he won’t release it though.

To all that want to know about ISO Loading..Yes it is possible, but it will require a mapping between syscalls and syscall entry points. And since there are hundreds of syscalls, it won’t be available too soon unless kernel access is discovered. And the only way i can see kernel mode access possible is through a buffer overflow inside a syscall…or someone finds the encryption key hard coded in the firmware (which btw, is in kernel memory and cannot be accessed anyway without kernel mode in the first place)…

The capability of an ISO loader would complete these packages of already amazing programming.
Understandably, and ISO could potentially be used for prirate purposes, which I personally do not agree with, but it can also prove useful to those of us with honor.
For instence, I still use the ancient, but still good Fastloader. On my 1GB card I have Metal Gear Acid, Dynasty Warriors and Burnout Legends, all game which I bought and own but do not want to cart around with me wherever I go.
Pirate are either too cheap or too poor to purchase these games. I earn good money as a writer and can buy ALL the PSP game out right now… twice. But I got the PSP for its portability and do not wish to lug around 20+ umds.
With an ISO loading solution, I could enjoy the games I paid for in a manner which I see fit.
In any case, my hats’ off to Fanjita and Ditlew for apparently brilliant work.
If an ISO loader comes, I will be happy, if it does not, I am happy anyway - only losers complain in the face of progress.

Just asking, i choose the homebrew i want to run, my psp turns off, what do i do now, Im only new at the homebrew concept.
I agree that this is a positive step for the PSP community, however I still see one of two things happening in the future. First, I see Sony losing all their developer support for the PSP as they continue to force them to program games using new codecs to accomodate firmware updates as their #1 source of anti-piracy. Then the PSP is finished.The other possibilty is that the programmers on the homebrew scene, like Fanjita, will give up trying to crack every new firmware update Sony releases. Then Sony wins as they will have cut off the spread of piracy on their console. Either way, I think Sony has gone too far to back off now, so I think now is the time for everyone to decide whether they want homebrew or to play new PSP games (or buy 2 PSPs).
Umm so if you want to play any newer games like street fighter you have to buy gta.. well if thats so than thats gay.. the whole point of homebrew games is that you dont have to buy origional iso’s..!!

#61, the eLoader doesn’t support piracy. Only homebrew can be loaded, not ISOs. We aren’t doing this to hurt Sony or gamedevelopers in anyway.

i get into gta and then it loads up the eloader prog but when i choose a homebrew game to play it keeps freezing. WHY WHY WHY!

Im wondering if i installed the loader properly. I got no success with just unzipping it into the mp_root folder. Instead, I unzipped the Loader and Icon into the Game Folder…and the Saved File into the Savedata folder. Everything works fine until I get past the little YES or NO agreement. I downloaded the SNES Emulator from Fanitas link as well as MAME (both are in their respective folders in the PSP Games foler)…they both show up in the Loader…I downloaded a SNES ROM and placed it in its own folder inside the SNES folder…but when i load it up…it reads an error. Any ideas about what the problem might be? Did I install the files wrong or could it be a faulty ROM…someone help. I looked in the formus and found nothing yet.

is there any way to load without gta? i cant buy it so im unable to use the current version. experiment with wipeout pure and u may find a way because the browser may be compromisable. e-mail me if it works because im using 2.60
im not sure were to place the folders. I have placed all the game folders onto my psp game folder and all the sava data onto my psp savadata folder but when i try and load a homebrew app it freezes. can any1 help?

hey uhhh on the first one u made for the 2.xx+ it was kinda slow running the emulators for snesx9 it well lagged when i was on mortal kombat, mario world and so on any what u can kinda fix that??

Well its only a matter of time untill a downgrader is made from a playable homebrew. id say a couple of weeks tops!
And if a working downgrader was made after screaming and rinning in circles i would be more that happy to emptey my paypal account into the guys that made it account (£0.26) LOL!
Oh year and what ever you do do not upgrade to the new firmware (3.0) when it comes out no matter how good it is, since they will prevent the save exploit in GTA.

alright WTF is with this thing, it loaded the emulator screen once, now it loads the eboot loader but once i try to run the emulator again it shuts off

now i got it to load but i got an error reading memory stick, this things driving me nuts, maybe ill wait for a full releace of the eboot loader.
hmm i dont think this is workin properly. as it is beta it will have a few bugs. I think fanjita has jsut brought it out so he can show us how far he is on his 2.6 firmware. It will be great when he brings out the non-beta version!
ya i gave it a shot and no dice on the emulators, i hope the issue gets fixed and maybe he can make a download pack with the eboot loader and some tested files, its weired becouse i can get the loader to work but when i try to run one of the files it goes to black and shuts off. i really wanted to play Super Mario world, just to stick it to the man.
