me coming late to psp scene, so my gear came with 2.x on it. Is the downgrade to 1.5 safe or is it all virus ridded brickness?

WOW!!! DOOM!! what a breakthrough!! now we can run doom on our psp’s like we always have been able to, except with better sounds n shit.. WOW.. I remember when I played DOOM on my old 486 DX-33 with 4MB ram at full speed with sound!! Is this really what homebrew is about now, reviving an old 1st person shooter that doesn’t have any life to it anymore, now that it’s been stomped by much better games such as Coded Arms, or Socom that can be ISO’d or bought for the PSP. I understand “revisiting old times” if you’re wanting old mario games or maybe tetris or some of those hard to find anymore classics…but DOOM? Maybe it’s just me but, isn’t DOOM just a dead horse that needs to RIP?

and biskit yes update or upgrade usaully is better but in the case of the psp where all updates are used for is to block out homebrew then obviously there not better, and you can also agrue the point of gta but, u can beat it like i did then downgrade simple anyways soon enough there prob gonna be away to play gta on 1.5 anyways. this is a psp homebrew site so why should somebody 2.6 be on here posting comments???

The reason why people with 2.6 post on here, or keep in touch with this site is to see when someone will make homebrew accesible on 2.X, its only a matter of time before 2.X is hacked. It is not impossible, every program can be hacked, i am sick of you people putting down the 2.X’ers. We get it that there are no current homebrews for 2.X so stop being dicks about it and try to embrace those who are without 1.5 because they are the only ones with the hope that someone who isnt too busy complaining about 2.6 will find a way to make homebrews on it.

Homebrews Are dead any ways ive been hacking for 8yrs and got homebrews that i use for personal use and it still suck’s especially since two valued hacker quit the Hack’s so hacks are dead till they return hacking is the easyist thing ever. By the way 2.x users upgraded updated because the dont have to wait till cristmas or anything like that to get a video game 2.x below user cant afford games so they use homebrews to load ISO’s which is illegal to do with out u owning a copy of the game.so every one hating on 2.x user’s can just go to jail and DROP THE SOAP.

For everyone asking where to get WADs:
There is a utility called ‘GetWAD’ you can get IWADs and PWADs with it. Just type in the name and it scours the net for them and downloads them for you.

Guys I found out how to play this, on version 2.0 with eboot loader 8, all you need to do is get the wad from “http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=8429099″ , then u put in in the wads section not pwads but wads, and there, just press X on the wad, then start, and there……..you dont need Doom%

been waiting a while for a new version of this. mainly for the addition of music.

however i am having some trouble getting it to work.

as i load the game (after selecting either doom.wad or doom2.wad) it hangs on the loading screen, then turns off my psp.

is there any specific way to place the directories for it to work?

currently:

i am using fw1.5… duh.
