Fanjita has released a new improved version of his popular EBOOT loader for firmware version 2.0 - this will allow you to run select PSP homebrew apps and games on your version 2.0 PSP.
What’s new? from the readme.txt:
- Added wifi support! Now the loader auto-detects if the wifi libraries are loaded (via the wifi load method above) and offers them to homebrew for use.
- Added call to application exit callback, to allow RIN etc. to save state when L+R+START reset is used.
- Added memory reset after running the menu. This should make things much less sensitive to whatever has been run before them. Can be turned off in config.
- Added memory reset on exit - this might make it easier to restart the loader.
- Added config option to fake success code from unknown functions
- Added clock-speed option to the config file, to allow automatic overclocking / underclocking of applications.
Download EBOOT loader v0.9 - refer to the included readme.txt for further information and instructions, and/or check out the official forum.
Please note - this DOES NOT work on firmware version 2.01+

Did anybody else have problems with 9.0? It’s pretty sweet and all but for some reason I cant get the newest snes9xTYL or RIN 1.31 or SMS plus I can’t get neither to work they could go to their main menus but couldnt load any roms at all. I did try PSPSET for 2.00 and it loaded up great but so far it’s the only eboot I could load. All the stuff I couldnt load with this new loader I could load great with 8.5.
Did anybody else have the same prob with this release?

Is there a list of all the homebrew that can work on this new eboot like the list in Fanjita’s official website, although there is a list, it only shows info about 8.5 and below.
well according to the readme in the 9.0 eboot loader it kinda hints that everything that used to work still works plus 2 more homebrews that were busted in the previous version

I have kinda a noob question, but i haven’t been keepin up real well on the psp-hacking scene (just checkin at least once a month). Anyway, has anyone had probs with any emulators (mainly snes, nes, genesis). I am at 1.5 right now and lovin it but bein able to play 2.0 games w/ emulators would be nice.
This is dumb… If I wanted homebrew I would just downgrade to 1.5… Screw having 2.0 unless you can load up ISO games.

I have the software to change between versions to play games from memory stick. It has the Version 2 on it but i cant seem to play GTA liberty cities. I get the error message ” Cannot start Game”. Is there a known fix for this?

#43 - Almost hacked like 1.5? Yes it will when umd emulator works on it with all the games. I will update when it will be possible. But right now, 2.0 is so useless, so its better to stay in 1.5 for the moment. Lol and for the “2 great games” that work on 2.0 it doesn’t worth all the other 1.5 games. And anyway “great games” like you say will require 2.6 and every sony update etc…

p.s. Homebrew isnt just about emulators, its about not wasting money on psp games. I paid for my first game, but since iso could be loaded on memstick i swear i’ll never buy another game for the psp.
I’m sure they will find a hack like 2.0 games playable on 1.5 for every new games that come out before working umdemulator on 2.0. I don’t need a browser(the only cool thing on 2.0) I have one in homebrew that works ok. Why surf on psp anyway when you’re at home.
Ummm 60…Gta requires a certain codec that isnt available on 1.5. So to answer your question there is no fix for this at the moment..but if your desperate you can upgrade and buy the game.
yeah 64 i think that 2.0+ has a way to extract bin files and if someone could extract a bin file and put the files back to together the iso would work on 1.5 loaders

okay… so fanjita won’t make it compatible with any iso loaders? well, instead of trying to find the loophole in the security, why not make a modified 2.0 upgrade that does everything BUT patch the security so as to keep the hole open? i mean, there’s already an upgrade that’s been modified so it will work on other wireless routers, so why not make one with different security? if this isn’t plausible, forgive my ignorance because i’m not a coder at all and have no idea how ANY of this works, just that it DOES work. It was just a little idea i had.

Fully exploited 2.0 means kernel which means isos, which means piracy. Fanjita has said he is not interested in kernel. So what you get is the community embracing this newer watered down homebrew environment where nothing exciting is being done.

I’m running the SNES emulator on 2.0 and I can’t put the PSP in sleep mode anymore like I used to in 1.5. Does anyone know how to fix that.

how are you suppose to add homebrew apps/games to your psp with fw 2.0? i tried using SeiPSPTool, but then this eboot loader stopped working. i managed to get it to work again, but it was somewhat of a hastle. any suggestions?
