AVC, nice…It really pisses me off trying to run trailers from within 1.5. This is deffinitely a long way around that, but getting additional functionality from within this is a good thing. Keep up the good work and features…

Maybe in 2006 we can see a pure launch from mem stick of any firmware with all functionality…=+) Keep me from having to upgrade / downgrade every couple days… LOL

Hmz.. I’m wondering what is the use of this app, if you can’t play GTA or any UMD-game with it!?? I wanted to try this program, so I could play the original GTA-UMD… So is there anybody who can explain the use of this app to me!?

explanation:
1.5 has MPEG4-SP playback. it’s decent

2.0 has AVC playback. it’s amazing quality at very small file size.

so, with this you can take advantage of some of the newer 2.0 features without having to upgrade. not everything is about stupid GTA, you know.

if development on this program keeps up then pretty soon you’ll be able to use 2.0 completely without actually updating from 1.5.

is that a good enough explanation?

thats makes no sense….if you have 2.6, then you already have all the functionality of 2.0 plus more….

Yes, thank u! That is enough explanation :)! I was a bit irritated, because I thought I finally could play co-op/multiplay with my buddy (he has a 2.01).. That is why I reacted like that!

I’m gonna search for some info about AVC, i’m watching movies on my PSP all the time :). And the other thing you said, that maybe we can fully use 2.0 in a later stadium, that is also GREAT!

Omg, finally I can watch AVC-videos with 1.5 -PSP by emulating 2.0! Hopefully MPH can sometime make so good FW-loader that we can play our legit copy of GTA: LCS with 1.5 and emulating 2.0.

i cant get this to work i have all the files in the wright place but i keep geting erros for the vshbridg.prx , heaparea1.prx, common_gui.prx, common_util.prx, and the vshmain.prx files. dose any one know what is wrong. i have tried everything even modifying the files and using files from diferent frimwares but i still get the same error.

How exactly does the process work though? Does an eboot load the firmware as if it’s an app? Could I have wallpaper/AVC on a 2.0, and then just reset my PSP to play ISO’s in 1.5? Also, is this a stable program? What are the chances of bricking my PSP?

can some tell me where i can get the files already made so all i have to do is put them on my MS and launch 1.3.6. or where is a good tutoral i get to the part where i have Out and Outx and then i get confused as to what to do next. y isnt this already dont and u just place the folder flasho and fash1 on the ms and poof your ready to go.

it’s not done for you because the legality of distributing firmware dumps is questionable. you just have to download the 2.0 firmware and follow the instructions in the dumper program.

does it have the browser when emulatiing 2.0? also can i play a legit copy of socom ftb while emulation 2.0 on my 1.50?

I followed the Instructions correctly and cannot get this to work right.

The Flash1: that it comes with won’t load with the 2.00 Flash0: I got but it will load if I use my old 2.00 Flash1: dump.

It loads and works right with another Flash1: but I still can’t get it to play AVC video files.

The icons show up right but it flashes black and says the video cannot be played.

does the web browser work with this? or what?

browser doesn’t work! the only new feature in this version is the AVC playback, so stop asking about other stuff!

I’m having problems running this app! It keeps on freezing on me! I used to get those errors about “/flash0″ since it wasn’t included in the .zip file. I made my own /flash0 dir with all the files ripped off the 2.0 patch. I Run the app and it just crashes!? Why!? I need help, FAST!

Maybe we´ll get gray hair until the firmwares higher than 1.5 are completely hacked. Sony, you suck!!!!! I´ve paid 250€ f or my PSP and I can do with it whatever the fuck i want!!!

Hey Blah(#25) does the web browser work?

I cant seem to get this to work! I am able to see the boot screen and everything aprears to work however it stops at a blue screen that says: “Setting informaiton is corruped. Press O button to repair and restore default settings.” However when I press the O button it reboots back to normal and I can never get passed that error message. Also the log file mphfl_driver.log contains no information at all. Anyone else experience this?

If you’re getting the corrupted screen, make sure you also do this (from the maxconsole forums). You need to d/l & install fileassistant on your PSP.

“For everyone having probs with flash1 here is what you do

Create a file folder named flash1 using fileassistant in your chosen file folder
e.g. fw/2.x/
after you do that use fileassistant hit the up arrow until you get to the screen

Bios0
Bios1

so on and so on

Copy the contents of Bios1 over to the flash1 file folder that you just created

Now try and load it”

I got this working, however, when i try to play the avc video I encoded using psp video 9 (its a 384 video bit 96kb stereo widescreen setting) it says “the video cannot be played”. even though i can see the thumbnail and the file info on the psp says AVC, it goes to a black screen for a second, then gives me the error. What am I doing wrong? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Haven’t been able to test this yet to confirm.

#33 not #34. also, it should play all AVCs made from sony’s convertor (which unfortunately only allows for 320×240, not custom res/ratio’s). I’ll try pspvideo9 and atomchanger tonight.

And, where do people get the question: “do I have to own GTA UMD to run this aplication?” The only thing it says about GTA is: Currently, you cannot boot GTA (or any other UMD game, for that matter) using this. You will also never be able to downgrade 2.01+ using this program. Please do not ask these questions.

I’ve got the firmware to load properly and all but no matter what I settings in PSPVideo 9, it cannot play the avc encoded clip. I can see the thumbnail but once I click on it, it says that it cannot be played. Yes I’ve copied it over to the P:/MP_ROOT/100ANV01 folder.

How can I get/create mphfl_driver.log?? Please help me…
