Well, I’m a dev on the project, and as you can see, we are working hard.

At the moment the only feature we are missing that is in the sony XMB is the video player, a gap which we hope will soon be filled.

At this minute, we are working on a start menu like interface to launch programs from.

But, why are you so negative about the custom firmware? Does’nt the 2.01 hack write unsigned code? Would’nt it bee possible to make a custom firmware?? with all the features of 2.6 and 1.5 combined!! With a menu like this that would just bee great!!

I was just thinking on the was to class today how nice it could be to be able to run a powerpoint or something very similar to it. But thats just my crazy rambling haha. Once again, nice.

Pretty nice, but what I am concerned about is the fact that you will have to start it by going to Games -> PSPOSS making it pretty useless. Unless you can actually boot to this instead of the stock PSP operating system, the whole concept of OSS’s is useless.

Its not useless if it can do stuff the psp cant normally do. PS: can it boot GTA UMD? (in other words, can you play encrypted games?)

Its ugly and Fileassistant++ does the job and even more than this. I dont really see an advantage in this. Wont downlaod it :D until it does more!

Should be a simple kernel trick to reroute the sound

I would dedicate some of the remaining buttons to functions… i.e. one button is already your “Select” button, have another dedicated “Back” button so you don’t have to scroll the mouse all the way to the right then back again, I can see that getting tedious when browsing files or menus… other options are not as important, but you could include a button mapped to take you straight to settings, or all the way back to your original PSP-OSS desktop or something.

yeah! I know.. it looks great.. and, I also think that the custom firmware isn’t too far away! We just need something that does run unsigned code.. And, the gta hack does not so! We hopefully will see it in 06! My dream atleast! ;) Wish I could do something about it!
