Confirmed Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and The Hustle, does NOT work for Crash Tag Team Racing. Also noteworthy, PES5 runs using DevHook & The Hustle runs very well with Fastloader.

I have an error with this 2 stuff:

2.Afterwards, you’ll be left with a EBOOT.BIN in a new directory called “Dec”

Yeah. It freezes when you encounter a enemy. And also when you save theres a error and when you load up that file miles is replaced with a monster making the game freeze.

29 and 30: The Lightforce version is a bad rip! They fucked up somewhere so, just download the full 600MB one and it works perfect. BTW, it’s a kick ass psp rpg, one I’ve been waiting for sometime and the wait was very much worth it.

Yeah, the 400-something MB Legend of Heroes has the problem. When I downloaded the 600-something MB Legend of Heroes, the problem was solved.

I forgot to mention I used PRX’s from Twisted Metal Head On. Don’t use the decrypter to patch you PRX’s or it don’t work.

Do you by any chance know the name of the 600mb legend of heroes? and maybe a link to where i may find it.

I am using dev hook 0.22 and so far I don’t have any problem with legend of heroes.
No problem when encountering enemy or when saving.

Somebody needs to find a way to apply the codecs required for the GTA movies and then it’s set.I have no idea how this crap works but go for it somebody!

This means nothing to me personally until it works off the UMD anyway, I expect that to never happen. Homebrew isnt that impressive anyway I guess, I’ll stick with the awesomeness of the games for now.

@ peeInMyPantz – I’m using the 448mb version of Legend of Heroes. Theres only one kind of music in it all regardless of where you are in the game. Anyone know a source for the ~600mb one?

Also LOTR Tactics (with F1 patch) and NFS Most Wanted work on 1.50 without this method.

Trying Crash Tag Team Racing, think it only goes as far as the duo memory card save screen and hangs but I could be wrong I’ll know for sure in the next 5 minutes, also try using wab version changer 2.5 and trick your PSP to think its a 2.0, don’t know for sure what difference this makes but Crash Tag just gave an error mesage untill I changed it to think it was version 2.0. firmware

A good game for the PRX files is twisted metal head on but any game with mandatory firmware 1.5 will do if it has the right PRX files, also if the PRX your replacing is in a module folder then use modules from another game’s “modules folder” if the PRX’s you are replacing are in kmodule then find a game with a kmodule folder to replace them with.

Crash shouldn’t be to long before I know 1 way or the other.

I ve got crash on the ms and it’s not working (suprise suprise) seems to hang when it searches for the ms.

So lets have a pop at this together I’ll leave it on and keep trying methos variations and if anyone thinks they might know how to get the full iso booting using any method that doesn’t require formatting the ms than air your thoughts and I will check here if their is anyone with a request I could try in the next few hours.

Do you remember the time of the 1.6 and 1.6b xbox. Well I do like it was only yesterday, some dip hole who was chipping at this time pointed out to me that it was impossible to tell a 1.6 from a 1.6b my gut feeling when his lips spouted this utter rubbish was I doubt that very much normally the latter of the two models would have a cheeper feel maybe, anyway when my crapply modded xbox started showing bad signs i.e. not working it started to dawn on me what the modder had said which was when he chipped them he was guessing whether it was 1.6 or 1.6b and infact while he was guessing he was guessing wrong that’s why mine and a friends xbox both had to be re-chipped I on the other hand when my box started to blink on and off looked to see if I could tell wheter mine was infact a 1.6 or a 1.6b in the end after about five seconds I saw it was maybe a 1.6 as it said in crystal letters next to joyport 1 (1.6) backwards on inside of case. Anyway what I am saying is crash is on the drive and it’s still not working (take a second to think – just try decrypting the boot.bin and not the eboot.bin keep the eboot.pin un decryted and decrypt and rebuild the iso and try all over again. I ve noticed if you decrypt the eboot.bin it makes a file identical to the boot.bin so if thats the case then we know the boot.bin don’t boot decrypted eboot.bin I should say thats been tryed but has it been tryed with a decrypted boot.bin instead just incase $ony are onto the right tracks. Otherwise we wouldn’t be here with crash vecaude it would work. The testing will continue and I hope someone leeks that emultor for the PC soon.

Take it from me games these days that don’t load are using 2 firmware are they not, well get a dump of 2.0 firmware say the fable one flash0 + flash1 and put them on the root of your ms in folders renamed to f0 f1 for short and umd emultor 0.8c should spring to mind, any chance we have of getting these new games to work is slim so use the wab version changer aswell and you got at least two more options you can tinker with in umd emultor for starters,

Q: why does wab version changer 2.5 say umd video fix, I can see why but it dont work for euro region 2 movies on my us 1.5-2.0 r1 (still locked).

@ Wennier – Not really, since to run an ISO you need access to kernel mode, something which has to my knowledge not yet been achieved with 2.x firmware.

Infected works on 1.50 firmware anyway so this method isn’t needed. PES5 runs fine on UMD Emulator 0.8c, though I haven’t tried it with fastloader. It may be the ability to use the boot.bin and to change the load method that makes it work. If it works on 0.8c though, why not just use that?

@ #78 – You need the ~640mb version of legend of heroes for it to work correctly. Unsure if i’m allowed to say where, so just search for it yourself.

For the curious. This decryptor just gets around Sony’s lazy workaround for forcing you to update. They encrypted the prx files so they would only run on 2.0 and up, nothing else. I think they even had the nerve to brag about it. Not surprised this happened. Unfortunately GTA makes use of a codec only available on 2.0.

It work and I am able to play my belove Pro Evolution Soccer 5 now. I really hope that we are able to play all the games run on 2.0 in the very near future.Thanks again for such a wonderful work………

FORGET THE GAMES ? ~ ! if we can supposedly decrypt PRX files with this cant we use the PRX files for AVC video and web browser and other things from the 2.0 firmware on 1.5 then ? so we could have movies at better quality in half the files size on 1.5 firmware? then we wouldnt ever need to update just take parts of decrypted newer firmwares and integrate into 1.5

Got it to work. Excellent. I deleted the 0_text.asf file to start with, thinking it was a language file, but when I realised it was over 600MB I stuck it back in and it worked.
I also used Twisted Metal Head On prx files.

If anyone is interested, socom does work with a little tweaking…hint:use certain files from socom Beta before you rebuild iso. I played with it thru the movies and so far so good…

Don’t understand the utility of this, I’m using on my 1.5 firmware ,UMD emulator 0.8c for loading the ISO (The Hustle, PES5,WRC…) then I run NOUPDATE or Davehook and it works perfectly !! never have to used some prx files (don’t know what it is..). The only game that crash are GTA, Socom and LOTR Tactic

Socom just has a problem loading from the memory stick and using the wireless

Everytime u finish playing a game using umd emulator and go back to home screen and shut down, does the power shut off completely or does it shuts down but the green light is still on? Only 2.00 Games work with the decryptor, when they have a prx folder in the USRDIR which you have to overwrite with a 1.5 game prx-folder, but is there no one, like @ Monster Hunter Por (Just a 600 mb big DATA.BIN File) this doesnt work.

I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM.
I installed the two files named “decrypt” and “decrypt%” in the game folder, next to fastloader and else…
So I start my PSP, go in the MS and I launch (stupidly) the executable and then, my psp become black with white text up : “2.x PRX/EBOOT.BIN decryptor” and I can’t do anything, no reboot able, no “home” I take out the ms, I tried everything, nothing works.
My PSP is just dead.
Does someone knows how to reboot this ?
Am I fucked ?

how did anyone get NFS Most Wanted to work????

Pac-man World 3 – I am able to run this game with Fastloader and UMD Emulator. I used the prx files from Wipeout pure. The problem though is that it gives me the error “Unable to load Pac-0Man World 3 data.” I tried using prx of NFS: Rivals as well, get the same problem. Anyone else have this problem, perhaps know a way to fix this? Thanks!

I just keep all the stuff needed for downgrade on my 2.00 psp as well as the 2.00 upgrade… (on a 64mb card). This works for me so i see no reason for all this cr4p. Either way nice job!

Just a quick question. I’ve recompiled the iso with the prx files from Winning Eleven 9. Also with Wipe out pure and with the prx files from Twisted metal.

When I come to launch the iso through UMD emulator 0.8c, using the copy load it’s failing and the screens going dark and stays at this stage.
What I will do next is ReDump the iso from the game UMD and start again. Are there any tips out there that I can follow?
Secondly which folder are you copying the prx files from in Twisted metal. Are they the ones in the Kmodule or the Module folder?
I haven’t deviated from any of the instructions and would really like to get this working as the winning Eleven I have is more or less the only game I ever play.

You need the spanish pro evo iso. This works with Dev hookv0.20 not .22

Just an update for all you people out there who’re having problems.

My problem was that when I tried to play the game it was launching and sitting at a black screen.

I got this working by re-dumping the iso. It was FastLoaders dump which was the problem. I used the .prx files from Wipeout as well.
Loving it. No longer have to play the Japanese Winning Eleven anymore.

Looks like less and less is working on the PSP. Before I go any further can we all pay respects to the founder members of the scene the loader guys, come back I never wanted to leave the loader day’s but we must move on-ward.
Today I am putting together a few loaders like in the old days that use eboot.pbp in the PSP_GAME folder in conjunction using an iso and UMDemulator in the hope of getting some newer games to work. I am trying GTA and if that doesn’t load one that I know does etc.etc. keep you posted if I have a succesfull or not so succesfull method. Hope is with any of the loader guys to use loaders and ISO loaders to boot these babies hatching in $ony warehouses across the-globe.

No luck with gta, tring pac-man world 3 I know this should load no probs, just a test to confirm working or needs work, let you know.

hope you all get by but realising something i must share, seems most games now a days black screen right from the start, must be they are putting protection on the first file that gets loaded i.e. boot.bin, hope that helps some wild hacks to come out (neo) springs to mind and trinity!!!
