Look im not trying to sound like a downer but for the people with 2.0 firmware why not just downgrade, I bought my psp last week bundle pack from sony which was 2.0 same day I downgraded and had everything working. Whats stopping you guys (2.0firmware) people.

Whats the point of Downgrading if everything I want to run works with the EBOOT loader?

I get Web Browsing, picture sharing, GTA:LCS!, and all the homebrew and emulators that I enjoy playing.

… whatever else i put in this folder wont show, im trying to get doom to work for exaple, and when i copy the two folder for it in i get nuthing… ? i know i must be real stupid or somthing but can someone explain?

I have ALOT of busted pixels on my PSP,(the size of a Canadian dime) which is pretty big for that size screen!

Does anyone else have that problem with pixels? And btw I took good care of it , i didnt drop it or nothn its a factory error not my fault.

AFAIK Iso loaders wont run on 2.0 because they require Kernel-mode. if anyone can create a Working ISO loader in user-mode, then it should load with the 0.7 loader. this 0.8 wont work for me, itll load the programs but shortly after loading it reboots the PSP.
one problem i had is even after i removed it and restored the 0.7 files, it still happened. i had to format the memory stick and reload everything from backup.

Are you guys stupid? 2.0+ will never be HAXORED so you can play illegal ISO’s. Go buy the games you cheap bastards or sell your PSP. Do you really want the PSP to become another DreamCast?… Then your PSP will really be a Brick.

2.0 can play homebrew & best of all emulators. Go ahead and keep 1.5, you paid $200-$300 for a device that plays 10-20 year old games.

I run UOSNES on 2.0 using Fajita’s 0.7 version. None of the new programs that 0.8 works with make me want to upgrade, so I’ll stick it out with what I’ve got.

22: Let’s see…if I bought the psp for emulators and such (which I did), do you think for a moment that my psp would ever be a brick if development for the PSP ends? Using the psp in this fashion wouldn’t require anymore development from Sony so your argument doesn’t hold up.

Another thing…you know why the Dreamcast died? Because of the lack of third party developers AND most of the games that DID come out sucked ass. If you remember, the PS2 came out after the DC and had many more developers like Squaresoft (now known as SquareEnix) and so many others I can’t remember right now.

Help for #32 I am having trouble running my nes and snes on 0.8 also. So I just reinstalled 0.7 for those and kept 0.8 for Genesis. Hopefully I’m just doing something wrong cause I love just hitting the triggers and the start button to reset my psp.

I used to believe in America and the people who make it up. After reading some of these posts, I’ve lost all faith in humanity. ISO’s do not work with this loader. 2. 0.8 is a piece of shit unless you want to run Genesis games. Everything else doesn’t work as well as on 0.7, even with the DAMN patch. This doesn’t matter because you can have 0.7 and 0.8 simultaneously on your system. Some of us still like side-scrollers because they’re more fun than the lame ass multi-million dollar flops that come out today. Yes, GTA is the greates game of all time for a portable system. Can you retarded pieces of human waste please stop saying that over and over and over again in every post. The people who are building software for us for free and hosting websites for us for free are awesome people. They don’t have to do shit for us. But, when they do do something, all some of you can do is complain. If you don’t like free shit, then stop using it. I’m wondering if anyone’s currently looking through the other features of 2.00 or higher looking for an overflow vulnerability or similar. Sure, there’s the TIFF one currently used, but I wonder if there’s any others we’ve yet to discover.

I’m currently torn as to whether to upgrade to 2.00 or not, as I’d rather not downgrade a second time, mainly due to how nervous I was the first time, even though things went fine (I’m worried about making a silly mistake the second time).

Emulation kicks ass and being able to download an ISO to try out a game is awesome (without that ability, I would never have bought Burnout Legends, for example).

I read this Forum and there is just so much B.S, if you want GTA upgrade and use the loader, if you want use both loaders so you have all the emulaters, see which ones work best with which version, downgrade when you are done with GTA.

This loader sucks, from someone who’s been hacking the psp since march, stick with 1.5 firmware and don’t change. Everything can be hacked down to a 1.5… and with the new 2.0 games (i.e GTA), eventually there will be prx emulation which will rectify those iso’s inoperability.

51* I think its most likely 2.00. you can ask someone with a brand new PSP that has 2.00 to check the certain parts in the serial # so b4 u even finish buying one at the store you’ll know exactly what version its gonna be. mine came with 1.52 which sucked til the downgrader came out now i stick with 2.0 for GTA and Snes,gameboy,genesis,homebrew,etc and switch back to 1.5 to play the ISO’s and other homebrew,emulators that work a lil better on it so far. I thought the new loader kicked ass. I seem tho not 2 be able to load as much stuff with it as 0.7 but the exit option in 0.8 is great

If someone can’t use v0.8 beacose some progs are broken, Go to fanjita’s site and download a fix. If you do that it works far better then v0.7. This is for the hundredth time someone has said this so F*cking listen for 1 time!!!

I put ALL the file in ALL the right places, and I loaded Sudoku 1.0 and ScummVM for PSP, plainly listed as working EBOOTs, and it refuses to work. Can anyone help me? This kind of thing is usually a cinch for me. So, you can understand my frusteration… Assistance please!
