Fix Blank Upgrade Screen

This isn’t new and has been in our forums for some time, but seems to be popping up more now due to GTA requiring v2.0. Some people get a blank screen with just an X and O at the bottom. The fix is really quite simple. Go in to the systems settings menu and reset to default. You should now be able to upgrade your PSP to 2.0.

Hey it’s cool you guys posted this on the front page. I actually ran into this issue, but managed to navigate the menu system without the text to perform the upgrade to play GTA.
I’m questioning if it was worth abandoning 1.5 for the time being, but I’m confident that the 2.0 boot loader will continue to progress.
how about making the game be tricked by a version changer for v1.50 so we can all play the latest games on psp v1.5 instead of v2.00 and up
#4 so far no version changer works because it looks like GTA requires code from the 2.0 update.
can some one say should i update to vir 2 my lad wants to play it but does this mean loads others not play then

no you can’t run iso’s off v2.0 you would have to downgrade to 1.50 if you wanted to play iso’s off the memory stick.

Even if you buy the umd game, u still need 2.0 to play it.
