PSP GBA 1.0
Gary13579 | October 18, 2005
Finnally, there is a new GBA on the PSP!
This one runs faster then the old VBA v0.03 (and the fake 0.04), and also has a nice GUI like all of the other emulators.
Currently, it doesn’t run at full speed, but now that there is a new one, maybe the author will keep on updating it?

Yeah its bettter than the old one but still very uncomfortable to play. I played Fire Emblem Sacred Stones and quit after second mission because it was so slow. You might also want to turn the sound off as with the slow framerate it just stutters.
OK, thanks for telling us the speed; as I am to lazy to try it out meself. :D
#4 go advertise somewhere else… FuckHead…
we can only hope somebody’ll finally start releasing updates for a GBA emulator….this is long overdue, hopefully i’ll be able to play gundam seed: battle assault when i’m on a roadtrip :D
who in their right mind would want a video ipod when you’ve got a PSP?
hmm
great news that a new GBA emu is out, cant’ wait to try it out and see how the castlevania’s run on it
Hmmm…still very very slow. A good sign though, I was beginning to think that people had given up on PSP homebrews. Now, if we could just get this and that Atari Lynx emu at full speed, I’d be a happy camper.
#8 if you want it so bad why dont you go off and do some coding yourself instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you.
ah cheers, lookin forward to a full speed one, and to #4, blow off!
hum gba emulator sounds nice :) i think i will test it when i got my psp
greetz
#4 yd u call your self a fuckhead
does any body know any good websites to get gba roms from?
It’s still damn slow. And with audio on, it’s even worse.
I read on a different forum, that if possible, within the game disable the sound if not, leave it on mono or monaural. The reason for this is the GBA lacks a sound processor because the cpu does the job. You may get a little better performance boost, but don’t expect miracles doing this.
Has anybody had the problem when going through the gui that the previous screen doesn’t disappear? Props to psp298 on this release. I’m anxious to seeing the next release.
im glad its availible on this site now, even though i saw it on psp updates yesterday
I found a game that runs ok on it, Its medabots the normal RPGish version of it not teh fighting one. That seems to run at a decent speed. LAggy but better than others
It seems that all the rom sites are pulling gba roms, anyone know why?
oh yeah a good site to get gba roms is romreactor.net
WELL I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY A EMULATER?
duznt work on 2.00 for those who wuld wanna kno so dont ask
can i use save states with this?
yeah um i have all the emus for sega/nes/snes/plus rooms, well i downloaded the gba emu and a gbx rom DBZ Goku Hishouden and Alone In The Dark but were am i suppose to put the roms???it would be nice if someone can help me with a guide or tell me if i did something wrong preciate it.
i loaded the rom and the screen turned whigh. i tried several rom and it keeps doing it. everything still works but i cant get it to play. please help.
thank you
this sucks terribly, it runs to slow. Not even worth my time. Castlevania, out of the question. guess i can try running a gameboy color game on it. meh
even if it is a little slow, it’s good to see that people are still working on emulators for psp. I was also starting to worry that many programmers had given up on it, as there isn’t much updated news on emulators. Hopefully this project (and the genesis and snes emu projects) will continue.
Atari lynx? Now that would be awesome… is there an existent lynx emu already or in the works?
fuckenshit!!! i swear i appreciate the teams who make the emus but GOD!! there needs to be some 2.0 emus already and dont anyone fucken yell at ME jsut look how dumb #4 is.
just a continuation of coment #23 its not the rom because i tried it on my computer and it worked just fine
### 10 Watch your fucking Grammar .. Haha
Great it works fine with me and very very Slow .
Hmm.. ive got a really good idea but im not sure if its going to be easy and this applys to all emulators for the psp….
Im just a kid but what if someone created a way to play 2 player on some of the games using the psp’s wifi??? Ive seen it done on other emulators (for the pc via internet) but it would be kick ass if someone created something like that….
heck i havent acutally seen a 2 player wifi homebrew game before (correct me if im wrong)
I love it, I just love it! Instead of comeing here and posting to actually HELP people, They just post about random shit like: What!? It doesn’t work on 2.0? or just to congradulate the creators.
I think these “forums” have turned into a bash-line for stupid people to post stupid comments.
If someone was to actually help these people out, I could understand useing these.
As for myself, Just so I wont get bashed, Do not know how to code or any of that. So meh..

It is a fucking shit!Gba….psp….333Mhz….Somebody make it a good GBA emu plz..
Everyone that is complaining about speed, GET OVER IT.
Look a SNES. When the first version, 0.1, came out, it was slower then hell.
Now look at the TYL one, that is extremly fast, even at 222mhz.
The GBA will be emulated over time. People like you yelling at the authors to make it faster won’t help!
IT runs Advance War pretty good and the game is playable with this emulator. Advance war is one of my GBA game :)
how bout a atari jaguar emu with aliens versus predator????
that would totally b worth it
would it work for the updated version like 2.5
@ #36: No, If you have version 2.5, your pretty much screwed on running any form of home-brew or emulation for some time to come. And if a DEV team cannot crack it then I guess your Shit outa luck.
This is why it’s not smart to upgrade!
~Dim Assassin
hmm well its much faster then VBA for sure… Pokemon play at a decent speed not so laggy like VBA.
Great news! Keep on the good work for other improved Gba emulators!
fuck off #31 a aked a question and know one has answered it. do you know the answer no. your to bussy bitching
HUH PEACE
OK, now after playing pokemon for a while a black screen came up. When I restart, still a black screen but i’m getting the clicking noise that i can still move. but the screen is black, help!
alright i deffinitely feel stupid because i cant get this to work anymore and i used to put emulators on my psp all the time. anyone wanna tell me how to do it? my email is chucks15@comcast.net if ya can. thank everybody and the team who created this awesome program.
#43 you are stupid you pussy
WTF?????? #44 i was just asking a question, so dont have to be such a bitch!
Advance Wars runs nearly as fast as it does on a sp especially if you crank up the frame rate to 9 on the menu.
its faster but no full speed
and sound is very lack!!!
#45 dion, go suc youre moms dick. U PUSSY
you ppl are all just plain stupid, if you dont have a positive criticism about the subject then just go deal with the reality that is your misarable lives.
what the hell is up with all of these people on here bagging me cuz i forgot how to do something? i swear this site never used to be so full of nazis.
how do you get to the menu screen for this emulator? how do you turn sound off to make it run faster?
#52 i think you push the up arow but im not positive
yeah i was wondewring why i couldn’t get on but, very exicited that your back. I think I’m the only person in Jersey City NJ that knows of this site–truely a diamond. Thanx for the info.
what version of the snes emulator is the fastest and where do i get it
It needs to emulate a link cable using WiFi
There are many snes emu that work fast UO_SNES9X works pretty good
Can I download it to my psp from my psp’s internet
