You are all a bunch of noobs. What this does is copies all of the files from the PSP’s firmware onto the memory stick so that it could be looked at, and possibly used to do other stuff. So unless you plan on doing something useful with it, there is no reason to use this.

No! I mena, maybe you could convert them, but for one thing, there is no possible INPUT for controls yet. Also, I dont know of any SNES roms smaller than 64KB and this exploit wont laod anythign bigger than that.

ok here is the summary for all you noobs. What this does is copy all of the system files for the 2.0 firmware, which are not accessable without sonys permission,to the memory stick so that when you reconnect your psp and look in your memory stick folder, the system files will be in there. most of the people here aren’t capable of using the files for anything, but some people can use them o make a program capable of running homebrew on 2.0. and the answer to number 80, no because the umd emulator won’t run on 2.0. good idea though.

#148, i’m not gonna flame you, but nobody knows how too make homebrew for 2.0 yet. we don’t even know how it works. Also, this is not the place to ask people how to make homebrew. this is for comments on the 2.0 dump. but, i do have a question for you, do you know c++ or pascal? because i you don’t, you’ll need to know those first to understand anything about psp programing.

#143 The dump dosent “do” anything to you PSP. it just takes all the flash data and the BIOS of the PSP and dumps it on the Memory card BTW to all of you who know about programming, this dump DOES also copy the KERNAL data. look in flash1.#143 what do you mean by “what the hacking does?” Basically, what “hackers” or “programmers” do is study the data from the dump to find what you would call a “loophole” once found,(there is ALWAYS atleast one) that “loophole” can be exploited to make homebrew possible on the firmware.

I am amazed at the level of stupidity of most the people who posted comments here expecting a firmware dumper to be useful for them.

Unless you can program in assembly language and are capable of creating your own homebrew loader for the PSP, it’s not going to do you a hell of a lot of good to run this.

does this mean that the MPH will be able to use this dump and 1.5 will b able to use 2.0’s functions and play homebrew. this is ofcourse just temporary as soon we will have an actualy exploit or 2.0^^
