#14 FFS the instructions are simple!

1. put frame_buffer.png into photos folder
2. Set to wallpaper
3. put overflow.tif into photos
4. put h.bin into psp root
5. got to photos on psp
6. “ooh” at the flickering hello world
7. get a coffee and wait for homebrew to be released!

psp root is on the memory card in “my computer”, not in any folders on the card, just straight into it. h.bin is included in the download rar file on the homepage.

can any one halp me. all i get is the brown screen. where do i put the h.bin. i try puting it in mp_root.

go to photos. thats all! the controls are simple…x is shoot, analog is move. r1 is fire. pretty good graphically and gameplay is ace! lol, but really, all noobs dont need this, all it does is flicker some text.

Well did it and it works. Is this just to show that homebrew can be done? Mine froze when I clicked on the tif file but doesn’t freeze if don’t click it. But after leaving the photos section and going back it froze again. This is normal right?

Gary, you shoudl get on the forums man! Also, yea, I just figured it out and did it and tis pretty cool! I edited the BIN file and put “Welcome to the beginning to hacking 2.0″ instead of the etxt that was already there, and it worked as expected. Thsi is great too! I found out that if u clcik on the web browser, the PSP wont completely freeze, but it will sit there unable to loaod the browser!

Wow! In just 2 days we have this already! I can wait to see soemone make this load up an animation in the background! ZTHIS IS AWESOME!!! HOMEBREW 4EVER!!!

i belave the upgrade is on this site but i wouln’t upgrade from 1.50 to 2.0 because you don’t know if emu’s andstuff are gonna come out on this and if they will be as good i mean you would have to change the background every time you wanna use a different app and add and delete pics and stuff you don’t have to do that on 1.50.

I, the creator of AKSNES, have programmed a new downgrader will downgrade from 2.0, 1.52, 1.51 to 1.5 or 1.0. It will be coming out tomorrow.

OK HERE ARE THE DIRECTIONS FOR RUNNING Hello World:

1) Download Hello World from psp-hacks.com
2) If you don’t have WinRar, go to google and search for it and download it.
3) After you have downloaded Hello World, open WinRar and drag and drop frame_buffer.png into the Photo section on your PSP. (PSP>Photo>)
4) Disconnect your psp from your computer.
5) Go to the Photo section on your psp. Launch frame_buffer.png (or use the slideshow function to do this).
6) Connect your psp back to your computer.
7) Delete frame_buffer.png from your psp.
8) Open WinRar and drag and drop the overflow file to the photo section.
9) While WinRar is open and while your psp is connected to your computer, drag and drop h.bin from WinRar into the Root folder of your psp. (Root folder is the folder you click on when you open My Computer and when you click on the folder for the new storage device.)
9) Disconnect your psp from your computer.
10) Go to the Photo section on your psp and scroll all the way to the bottom. Select the black picture.
11) If a red bold shaded rectangle and some words appear under that, this program is working fine and your done. If this doesn’t appear, then re-read these directions.

** This program is ONLY proof that v. 2.0 has been hacked. It is not a program nor is it anything that you can use. It is clear evidence ONLY.

Directions For Deleting Hello World:

1) Connect your psp to your computer.
2) In the Root Directory or Folder, delete h.bin.
3) In the Photo section of your psp (PSP>Photo>) delete the overflow file.
4) Disconnect your psp from your computer.
5) Go to the photo section on your psp and everything should be working fine.

** In case your psp freezes or does not respond to your commands, hold the power switch on your psp up for 10 to 15 seconds untill your psp shuts off.

@90, SOmeone will make an auto loader for this exploit. Just you wait. I won’t upgrade b/c it will take a couple months to progress any where near wht the v. 1.5 is. Good work though. yeah i can’t wait till that day comes i upgraded to ver 5.1 the second it was released only afterwards i found out about homebrew and all the wonderful things you can do so now i’m pretty hapy toknow that i could be enjoying all these homebrew apps all you guys are talking about :)
