PSPset v0.8 Released

A new version of PSPset has been released by Placasoft. What you can do with PSPset 0.8 including some not so well tested features here is a quote:
Now you can copy your edit “topmenu_plugin.rco” to flash! I HAVE NOT TEST IT!!! SO I DON’T KNOW IF IT WORKS OR NOT!
Here is a list of features and some directions:
Change Gameboot (video)
- Change Gameboot
Copy a gameboot.pmf from “ms:/gameboot.pmf” to your PSP�€™s firmware. The source file must not be larger than 1MB- Backup Gameboot
Make a backup of your current gameboot.pmf to “ms:/gameboot.pmf” on your memory stick- Delete Gameboot – This will delet your gameboot, the games will now load faster!
- Restore Original Gameboot – Restore the default gameboot
Change Wallpaper
- Select Month
Select a month you want to change the background. You need to place a file name according to the month (e.g. if you want to change March, you need to put a 300*170 BMP file at ms:/03.bmp)- Copy All Wallpaper from 1.1
- Restore All Wallpapers
Change Firmware (like WAB™s version changer)
- Flash topmenu_plugin.rco(new in 0.8) This will flash the topmenu_plugin.rco from ms:/topmenu_plugin.rco into the flash
- Backup topmenu_plugin.rco(new in 0.8) This will backup your topmenu_plugin.rco from flash to ms:/topmenu_plugin.rco
All your settings go lost when you using the x/o changer
Change X/O buttons
- Swap the X/O button for different consoles (JP/US)
- Backup set. to x:/set.bak – Backup your settings to psp!
- Restore set. from x:/set.bak – This restore your old settings if you are save them with the Backup function
Stuck Pixel Cleaner(new in 0.8)
This will fix some of your Stuck (not dead) pixel, 20 min.
Reset all to default
This will reset the Gameboot, the backgrounds and the Version to default!

This is a cool homebrew! It does lots of neat stuff, none which brick the PSP!
To Dennis, STOP AKSING ABOUT THE DOWNGRADER!!! THERE IS NO DOWNGRADERTHAT WORKS OR IT WOULD BE POSTED ONB EVERY FUCKIGN SITE BY NOW, DUH! So…yea….dont bother, it wont work, but wont brick u either.

this is not useless, this is very useful actually. prevents you to have to upgrade to play games, or having to switch x and o, when playing jap games.
does everyone know that 90% of the users of this “LOSE ALL WI-FI ABILITY” i lost mine. trying to get it back.i dont want to upgrade.which i heard will fix it.

To RaiderX… the downgrader DOES work, I upgraded to 2.0 then downgraded to 1.5…. its simple and works
As for this, looks pretty good but where do i get alternative bg sounds n bootups? :/

where can you get gameboot.pmf files or can you convert any mpeg/avi file to use as a gameboot.pmf ???
spartan117 you place the wallpapers in the root directory of the ms(memory stick) and rename them to the corresponding month i.e 01.bmp = januarys 02.bmp = febuarys when you come to the month you select your chosen wallpaper should appear!
