downgrader. They distribute it so that other developers continue on

functional downgrader… Here instructions written by Yoshihiro in

CAUTION! THE DOWNGRADER DOES NOT GO!

It will not break your psp, but it does not go, therefore these files
are thus reserved for those which wish to continue the work of
Yoshihiro.

Stage 1: You will need 2 memory stick. Copy the files present in the
repertory “Memory Stick 1″ from your first Memory Stick and the files
of the repertory “Memory Stick 2″ from your second memory stick.

Stage 2: Launch the downgrader starting from first Memory Stick, a
white screen will appear. As soon as this one leaves place with a
black screen, press 3 times the switch of your PSP to put your PSP in
hibernation mode. To leave the first memory stick and to replace it by
the second. Relight your PSP, and you will have to see a message
indicating that all occurs correctly and that it is the update towards
the firmware 1.50 which is in hand. Here the last stage to which
Yoshihiro remains blocked.

Let us hope that developers will succeed in circumventing this
problem.

Tested the downgrader on my v 2.0 and it does not downgrade and won’t brick your PSP. Nor is it password protected.

We can all only hope that 2.0 will eventually be cracked because otherwise the PSP won’t be around for long… PS2 and XBox were successful because they could be hacked! Even though WAB did not finish the downgrader, their release of the beta could show downgrading as a possibility very soon. I’ve been so disappointed with my PSP being 1.51, but I’ve learned to not be angry that there isn’t a downgrader yet. If you’re so impatient, create your own downgrader instead of wasting your time bitching out WAB. Otherwise, wait and see what other PSP developers are able to do.

i found another Eboot 4 the 2ed mem card, it down graded it, it took like 8-10 mins, anyone have LIMEWIRE,programs look for an EBOOT~`2.. its no passwords, the ver 1.50 has been mest up or somethingthis is a real one

But I to try write down this method.

-Buy the Midnight club 3 ORIGINAL UMD Disc!
-take it the ORIGINAL DEMO UMD Disc in your psp
-launch the update 2.0 when appear this screen “connect the adapter”
take out the original UMD!BUT so that/how ALWAYS pull/hold the umd opening button!
/Don’t leave the opening button!/
-meanwhile change the demo UMD to Midnight club3
-then close the umd disc tray/slot
-leave/left the umd opening button
-connect the adapter
-and install the disc
-when over the installation you will to see that your PSP is 1.50!

Because reputely the Midnight club3 use 1.50 firmware.
And the Psp believe it that you install 2.00

I have no real idea what I am talking about, but I loaded the gameboot into a HEX editor and repleaced all the boot record from 1.52 upgrade to 2.52. I really dont understand why it says it is a 1.52 upgrade but thats what it says in 5 deiff langauges. Anyway ran the modded gameboot from the card and i went white then black then came up with an agreement asking if I want to upgrade to 2.52. Because I am a coward and dont want to brick my psp I said no, but how come it did this (also you have to have the AC adapter in).

well this sucks, i had 1.5 firmware on my psp but i bought burnout legends and it comes with and upgrade to 1.52 and you can’t play it unless you upgrade, so i had no other choice but to do so.

I remembered reading that the password to the firmware downgrader was “EI000″ or something like that.

is it possible to use homebrew on 1.52?

Wab has made a version changer, with the version changer your 1.50 psp thinks you have a 2.00 psp.

i have the “downgrader” its on limewire and there are accually 2 and they’re not beta’s wab’s doesn’t work but runs and i haven’t tested the other one so it might work it might not but this is great if wab can make this run then do we need to downgrade?

so i take it i screwed myself over by upgrading my firmware from a 1.5 to a 1.52 in order to play my burnout legends huh?
yet some kid on the net said he’s now found a way to get homebrew to work on 1.52 version. he’s got a video showing it, and he’s also talking sh*t about wab. i hope this kids for real.
