Fastloader is better in a way because it supports more games but I don’t give a fuck, why just don’t keep the 2 loaders, no big deal. Exemple: Burnout didint work on Umd emulator so I just put it on Dev Hook…thats all

The whole point of this release was to make it compatible with UE 0.8

Emulate the ISO with umdemulator 0.8, load up devhook, select ANY iso.. and the emulated iso will load without any umd in the drive.

Essentialy you can use devhook to load alot more games now it wasnt prieviously able to load.

Both apps have their perpose, anduntill you can code and release your own, dont bag other peoples work untill you know what the fuck your on about, kthnxbye

People who imported a PSP dont have a demo disk as the jap value pack didnt come with one.

I have a imported PSP. It didn’t come with the demo disc but I got it for a present. The wierd thing is that it can play american umd games but not movies, and X and O are opposits of the american PSP while you are in the menue.

baka, that is correct. The games are not region locked. You can play any region game. However the movies are region locked.

The buttons are kind of annoying. However I think if you update the firmware they switch the buttons to the US layout. Anyone, is that correct?

use PSPset, to switch the o/x button if you wish.
JAP psp’s use o/x for accept/cancel.

and do not update your firmware, thats the dumbest suggestion anyone can give you.

use umd dumper to dump the UMD -> iso of the movie you may need a 2gb MS.
Then you can use UMD Emulator 0.8 to play the movie ISO by selecting the appropriate iso type = movie and makesure select region free and then it should play on all region 1.5 psps.

@baka: Most movies are region coded, like DVD… but there are also some region-free ones, if you look around. :)

I got burnout to work #5 with umd emulator.We need an app that will play zips or rars so I can fit more games on my 512mb,Im to poor to by 1 or 2 gig.

Well I had been on the 1.0 side of the PSP scene and really, I’m happy I upgraded to 1.50. There’s almost no difference with 1.0 expect for corrupted icons, otherwise just use the 1.5 versions of each app and install them as you would before. Put the file in \PSP\GAME\UPDATE and connect the power source, and update is just a snap, and then you can enjoy UMD emu and fastloader, I know I do.

Except for nostalgia or whatever, I don’t see the use of keeping 1.0. Sure it’s easier to play homebrew, you don’t have to make those % and __1 folders and such but, most emus are more compatible with 1.5. Any 1.0 users care to share why keep 1.0? I seriously want to know why so it won’t bug me when someone says that it won’t work with their Jap 1.0.

Whatever the reason, it’s a bit unfair, and this comes from one that has updated. I mean, most jap devs, which have probably 1.0 psp’s release 1.5 compatible versions of their apps, however 1.5 devs don’t care to do the same for the japs.
