It’s a sad day for PSP Homebrew software. Personally I don’t think WAB or PSP-Dev were tricking anyone because of the work they did in the past and all the improvements they were having in flashing PSP’s firmware.

But the way they handled the separation was very bad. Instead of taking the site down they should have said something on their site like PSP-Dev
did.

Not only this way did they make a lot of people upset, thanks to them I doubt any more promising projects will get many donations due to the worry the fans now have that the team will simply split with the money.

On the other hand though, part of me is happy for some of the idiots that spend as much time as they could flaming WAB on forums and PSP sites, they got what they deserve: nothing.

i called sony before i ordered by psp. To clarify which firmware that australia was going to release. The agent kindly told me that it was a v1.00. I opened my box and it was 1.52. F**k.
Then I heard that wab was making a downgrader. Well I was beginning to see the lighter side of things. Then, they say they are not going to release it. What da F**k!!

Quit Your Bitching! If you really want to downgrade you should be giving out ideas to Yoshihiro on how to do it! It simple computer science, dumbasses! The PSP is like a computer. On a computer you can easily downgrade to win98 if you have winXP. Or to a win95 if you have a win98. All you have to do is open the PSP, fuck with it, somehow erase the software so its blank, like a computer without win98 that has never had the win98 ever loaded fresh out the factory. Then have a PSP 1.0 connected to a computer, hack the 1.0 software and copy it to your computer Hardrive. And then make your own homemade program to be compatible to install on a psp with your copied 1.0 software.

And You Know What! If sony or wab or whoever you Fucks are… If you assholed dont come up with a downgrader soon im gonna take my 1.5 back to the store for a trade in. CAUTION! THE DOWNGRADER DOES NOT GO!

It will not break your psp, but it does not go, therefore these files are thus reserved for those which wish to continue the work of Yoshihiro.

Stage 1: You will need 2 memory stick. Copy the files present in the repertory “Memory Stick 1″ from your first Memory Stick and the files of the repertory “Memory Stick 2″ from your second memory stick.

Stage 2: Launch the downgrader starting from first Memory Stick, a white screen will appear. As soon as this one leaves room to a black screen, press 3 times the switch of your PSP to put your PSP in hibernation mode. To leave the first memory stick and to replace it by the second. Relight your PSP, and you will have to see a message indicating that all occurs correctly and that it is the update towards the firmware 1.50 which is in hand. Here the last stage to which Yoshihiro remains blocked.

Let us hope that developers will succeed in circumventing this problem.

MAJ : following a corruption of files intended for Memory Stick n°2 a new file ‘ repack’ is now available. The bond below takes again this new file.

ok I got it 1st load up update 1 mem stick then I turned into standy by when black screen came on copied my tetris eboot file to mem stick 2 under the folder update then turned back on and it loaded up this no joke or wind up.

Right, PSPCaliber have been working on 2.0 homebrew for a few days now, and we have managed to so far, get further than WAB! All is explained about this in the file_id.diz!

This file will not let you run homebrew, but, our newest member: Unreal, who is a very talented coder, is pretty confident he will sort out the shutdown problem by the end of the week! That is not a promise, its a target! Seeing as you all were pestering for a release date from WAB, that is our TARGET not our release date, we will do our best to acheive it! Also, WAB never released HOW they achieved what they supposedly achieved, we have, in the file_id.diz

Now, most of all, try and work on this, we dont care who gets it working first, as long as they get it working!

I’m no engineering genius but couldn’t someone remove the chip where the 1.50 firmware is stored, dump the chip, mass produce the chips, unsolder/remove the newer 2.0 firmware and replace with a new 1.50 chip? Doesn’t seem that hard, especially for the people in China who bootleg everything anyways.

Did any of you honestly believe that this group of fools would be able to produce something THAT technically brilliant? Come on… they are script kiddies with delusions of grandure. What really happened is that when AloneTrio got arrested there was a plea made with the police after sony’s recomendation. Sony wanted all work on the downgrader eliminated aswell as other hacks being worked on at that time. WAB would have the charges reduced and they obviously did this because of AloneTrio’s fear of doing time in jail getting raped. First there boasting about it on there website etc. and then they suddenly say its fake? Do they think we are that stupid?
If DEV TEAM wasn’t working with them they would have said that MUCH earlier. I heard local police talking about this and i have come to the conclusion that it all seems to make sense.
