First of all, death jr works fine. Second, this is one thing that sucks about this site, its lagged to hell with getting news. This was released hours ago and it took them forever to post it.

Dynasty Warriors does not work. Works under 0.7 but now when you try to run it it says disk cannot be read. Pity that the ISO’s can’t be stored in the same place because then if it does not work you can at least choose them through 0.7.

Just a quick note for anyone having problems: Your ISO _MUST_ include the PARAM.SFO file in the PSP_GAME directory and the EBOOT.BIN file in the SYSDIR directory. If you’ve removed either of these files, the ISO will not load with .8

all we need now is a multiple main menu loader. i have death jr. in the drive, and untold legends and mercury on my MS. hopefully soon there will be a way, in my case, to load all 3 straight from the main menu, and all having different game boot screens, possibly being that at least one has to be flashed to the firmware, being the UMD in the drive. i dunno… i was just thinkin… other than that this app fuckin rules…. i’m starting to have my doubts about WAB….

And just if it brings you to the Main Menu then you will just go to the UMD icon like if you where goign to play the UMD that you have in your Case at the moment, and there you have it! the ISO! wooots!

84, try a different ISO. If it crashes/error, are you sure you have 1.00-150 firmware? Isos name have to be short or they won’t read, have any UMD into the PSP, check directories structure on readme. Any more details on the error pls.

After it gets you back to menu, check the game menu and look for the umd icon, that should be the game you were trying to load. Remember, have any UMD into the PSP for it to work.

Fastloader 7 runs Burnout without a problem, so try that one if it doesnt work with this one, I have’t tried it so I can’t tell.

About UMD emulator vs dev hook, for me the killer feature of this one is the sleep working, I hate to start all over again a race/lvl, neither devhook nor fastloader had sleep working properly.

Hmmm there are several programs that allow to bypass the version check, but since I don’t have a game that requires it I can’t tell sorry, check around.

Little note - if you do not want your umd to start when starting your psp just put your control parental enabled to level 1, you can put 0 as passcode.

Matt Fazzer has apparently stopped development on the PSP emulator he claimed to be working on, citing a C&D letter he recieved threatening court action. Here is his message:

147 and 148 try inserting a umd into the PS if you do not have one inserted. even know .8 has mounted you iso umd it still needs a umd inserted as a dummy. Duno have not tested but it may just need the sence swith depresed.

Ok, here is what happened… I have 1.5, and I just tried to load the gripshit iso. It freezes after the main menu comes up. Then i used the coded arms iso (that worked before with FL7) and it does go to menu fine, BUT there is no UMD showing up. I cant even select it except game sharing, saved games, and the ms. Help appreciated. Thanks.

#144. Same thing happened to me. It seems that some games will not work with v.08 but they will with v.07… Best thing to do is keep both loaders in your PSP…

yeah trader, I had something similar when I was attempting to run winning eleven 9. The PSP just froze and the light stayed on. I removed the battery because holding up for 5 seconds on the power didn’t work. Then PSP didn’t turn on for a good 10 seconds of trying. I was pretty scared, but it booted up finally again. I am only speculating, but there is some funky stuff happening with this UMD emulator. I’m happy to stick with FastLoader 0.7.

After you go back to the main menu you need to go to the UMD ICON then press it and it will lunch the ISO.

Note: it supose to go back to the main menu.

#134: Have you lost your fucking mind? Let’s look at the current prices for memory sticks. I cannot get a 1 gig for under $90. That 40 gig portable PSP hard drive is like $115 on Ebay. That is $2.75 a gig VS $90 a gig. I’m not rich, and I’m betting you’re not either. With a hard drive, there would be no more worry about ripkits or splitting ISO’s. You bet your ass that when they get games/apps to run from a hard drive, I’ll have one. I don’t care if the fucker weighs 10 pounds. To have that freedom would be well worth it. And think about it, a 60 gig iPOD is the size of a deck of cards, what makes you think that a PSP hard drive would be any bigger? I see good things in the future of PSP storage devices. People are going to demand more storage for pics, music, videos, and movies. The industry will eventually have to produce an external storage device. At $90 a gig, there’s got to be a better solution. It’s only a matter of time.

RE: Winning Eleven 9 firmware update?

I have got the WE9 ISO to start but some message comes up in Japanese and prompts you to press X but I am worried that this might update the firmware or something as I have read that WE9 comes with the v2.0 update. Has anyone else done this and can you advise me? Do I need a rip to remove the update or something?

Also, I read something about running v2.0 firmware from mem stick. Is this a way of running v2.0 games without actually upgrading? And is it only for running UMD’s or does it work with ISO’s aswell?

It wont upgrade your fireware. I press the X and it dose not upgrade. After that you need to just keep on pressing X becase it will ask you if to creat a profile.

But its saft to press X. Also the game is not that great.

Also I believe that if one day a game that is a jap wants to upgrade your firmware it will say 2.0 becasue thats thier number system too. right? Or do they have the number system in jap too.

First of all what ISO game are you using? Also, try to reinstall the UMD emu0.8 to see if that works. If you say that you had problems with fl.7 and know this then either your ISO games dose not work. Or your not puting the ISO on the corret folder.

Hey guys…don’t try to upgrade your psp using the update in the iso…it bricks the psp because somewhere around 34% your psp won’t be able to read data from the memstick like it’s a umd.

I know that when you press X to load the ISO, it’s supposed to take you back to the PSP Main Menu and you have to select the UMD icon to boot the ISO, but my problem is that when it takes me back to the main menu, it freezes. What am I doing wrong?

did you tried the WE9 ISO or your not to sure if Iam telling the truth. Also, I have tried the Race Rager the Jap version and it also works fine. But the it sucks how the car moves when your trying to move it.

I`ve tried the ISO`s of Virtua Tennis, Everybody`s Golf and Coded Arms (which works fine with launcher).
root/UMD Emulator V0.8/ISO is where I`ve put the ISO
I`ve tried reinstalling EMU 0.8, but that didn`t help. I start Emu 0.8 => I get to see the menu and then I choose the ISO (for example psp_game)=> That brings me back to the main menu => then I go to the UMD, but I don`t get to see the ISO, only the game on the UMD. When I tried fl7, all I would get was “initializing ….” and it would stay like that. The UMD I`m using is metal gear acid. I hope you can figure it out el negro cause I can`t.

Since I dont have those ISO Iam not sure if they work with this UMD emu. Do you have other ISO. The ISO that I have tried are Burnout, Death Jr, and Winning Eleven 9 those two I know that they work.

That brings me back to the main menu => then I go to the UMD, but I don`t get to see the ISO.

What do you mean you dont see the ISO. Have you tried pressing the X botton to see if it loads the ISO. And if so then try those ISO’s the ones I mention to see if they work.

Greetz and trying to get back to the Q&A for the great new work put out (very very well done!). I followed the directions and had no probs, got a good ISO in the right directory, etc, etc. When I try to start up the loader, i get the PSP logo, the little cool sound, a black screen, and then it kicks me out and says “The game could not be started. (80020130)” Arg! Tried different ISO files to no avail. I’ve got a Jv1.0 PSP by the way. Cheerz in advance for any help.

I have the UMD of winning eleven 9 using a 1.50 psp (I used the Wab version changer to make it appear as 2.0) and the game hasn’t forced me to update to 2.0. Two grey screens do appear when loading up, I just continued passed them. I think that they are something to do with save game data, as i am pretty sure they don’t appear once your have a save game.

i cant get fastloader to boot grand theft auto, for me so i dont have to upgrade my firmware. PLEASE HELP!!!

KChicoine, GTA:LCS doesn’t work with any loader according to its release group. We’ll have to wait for another version of UMD Emulator.

i put the umd disk kung fu hustle inside then it says this disk cannot be started the region code is not correct

On the UMD emulator; how do you take iso’s off and get the memory back?

The only way i can do it is by formatting the memory stick and deleting everything?

is anybody know how to make the umd dump work using fastloader?? psp version 1.5 . I can dump. but the file not working. Somehow there is a file (not show on the folder) and I can’t see where. the iso I d/l from the net work. but to create my own, not working. Help anybody??? I try isosplit and iso. not working.

Hey guys, hope you can help erm.. i Downloaded Fifa street 2 and several others last night but when i tried playing it they all crashed… all my loaders didnt work eg. fastloader v0.7 and devhook v20. so what shall i do? i was told about the umd emulator v0.8 i tried that 2 but doesnt work! i mean my psp system is 1.5 but ive put a patch so it also reads as 2.0 :( can anyone help me! post me here or my email ironfist_666@hotmail.com

ok plz can soe one help i have downloaded umd emulator 0.8c it works well kind of heres the problem i find the iso file and can rebuild them if needed i set the emulator pick my game, it returns to main psp menu i now go to game menu on my psp the umd now reads as the iso i have chosen but then when i go to play it says software update needed i,m on v1.5 so my question is how do i jump between firmwares using umd emulator or do i need to use a different emulator?so what is the best program to jump between firmwares so i can play iso on umd emlator?so close but yet so faraway! plz can someone help i would be very greatfull

ok i will answer my pervious query seen as no else as. With respect to my pervious comment if any else is having the same problem with there 1.5 FIRMWARE PSP and can,t play recent psp iso or csos with the emulator 0.8v they will soon see that you cant because you need devhook (i used 0.51 version) devhook may look complex but its pretty simple even i figured out how to use it any way search for devhook0.51 in google i got a jap version thats ok but the readme file is in jap so i had to figure out how it works for myself or learn jap so i took the first option to use devhooks firmwares you need to find them yourself for example devhook 0.51 as firmware 2.82 on the menu when you load it but for it to work you need search for the 2.82 update on this site i found a US version which works for me, so once you have the update you need to download Dev Hook Firmware installer search on google again or here on this site install on your psp which is simple enough now get your EBOOT.PBP update and copy to the root of your psp memory stick make sure you dont change the name it has to be called EBOOT.PBP for the devhook firmware installer to FIND IT now load psp and then the devhook installer it should find your update and it will tell what the update is press o loads of words and so on come up it takes a min but make sure you got enough battery life when its finshed it will restart you will still be on 1.50 to use you update firmware load devhook 0.51 select your firm and iso and the option xmb menu under boot select now start devhook it should now go blank for a sec and turn back on in your new firmware with your iso ready to play simple! i hope this helps anyone whos had the same problems as me.
